Please stop blaming Bledsoe for the sacks...

Bledsoe did good today! He had somebody in his face all day and did not throw ONE interception! What do you expect?
This is no different than Quincy, Chad, Vinny, Romo or Henson. A sack occurs when the offensive line does not block or slow down the defense!
That is not the quarterbacks fault. Now a good quarterback may limit the damage by not panicing and throwing the interception but it is not his fault. Look at where the pressure came from.
With the kind of pressure on Bledsoe today who could have done any better? And look at how Julious Jones was getting hit behind the line of scrimmage so much the second half. Is that bledsoes fault to? Or could it be the offensive line? Nah! Lets blame Bledsoe for that to. Curly

Umm, sacks also occur when the QB hold the ball for over 4 seconds and doesn't throw it away or run with it. That happened at least twice today. Bledsoe held the ball too long on at least 2 of the 4 sacks, there is no disputing that. You simply can't hold the ball for 4+ seconds on a straight drop back (I'm not talking about slower to develop play action passes) and expect to get the pass off.

Oh. One of those deals.

What the hell happened to the Jets today? I had to turn the game off. It was pitiful. I'm a Cowboys fan, but living in NJ I see a lot of the Jets and since I don't hate them like the Giants I pull for them. I can't call myself a fan because I can only root for one team, but I watch and want them to do well. But I just couldn't stand to watch that display today. They were just hideous in every aspect of the game. And I am really starting to think that the Jets jumped the gun giving Pennington that big contract after only one successful season.

Well..there's another way to see it..

he doesn't just throw it up for an INT like Vinny did last year.

I'll always take a sack than a turnover. Bledsoe does like to wait for his WR's to clear. That's a problem.

But i think if you get Price playing at WR, you'll see him get rid of the ball quicker as Price has more speed and can get separation.

The thing that shocked me all day was Witten not doing anything for us. I assumed a whole lot more from him. Let's hope he's not getting lost with those defenses trying to take him away.

He's got to still make plays regardless of his getting extra attention from the defense.

Aikman would do it as well. Troy was noted as a QB who would hang in there until his WR came uncovered. All in all Drew had a great day to bad people want to overlook that aspect of Bledsoe game

As Long as Drew is not making mistakes -

I take 143 qb Rating all day everyday!

1-0 Dallas!

JD, I will get into that over at the NFL Zone sometime this week. Pretty ugly, and six fumbles by Penny indicates a physical issue, imo.

But I will say this here - you cannot replace Jason Ferguson with James Reed and expect to hold the middle....and the domino effect ain't pretty.

Turnover city today. Pennington looked like complete crap. The media will really be all over him this week. On defense, ever heard of stopping the run? They just looked pityful on both sides of the ball and were never in the game. NEVER.

Lets stop saying this before it gets out of hand. Bledsoe had an amazing day. He completed several of those passes with much pressure in his face. Look at his rating. He threw 3 TD passes. The one to Key at the end of the game was totally clutch. His play won the game for us. He didnt throw an INT.

People only see the sacks. They dont see the TD's and completions he made because he hold the ball waiting for a receiver to get open. Remember, it's only holding the ball too long when he gets sacked. It's not when he throws the TD though is it. It is nice to have a QB that throws TD's in the red zone instead of our last 2 (QCard and Vinny) who always threw INT's in the Red zone.

So lets stop this remark right now. I will take 4 sacks a game if it also comes with 3 TD's and no INT's.........especially with the play of our offensive line today.

3 of the 4 sacks werent from holding the ball too long...and on a couple of plays that "he held the ball too long" he got completions for 3rd down conversions

not sure why people are nit picking with him...he played a great game...put Q-bong or old man Vinny back there today and we'd have been blown out
