I was really excited when J. Jones came to Seattle. I understand that it is only preseason but golly...we have rookies in our running game that play like they are mad at the world.... J. Jones...not so much. Always been like that?

Pretty much. It's almost like he sleeps during the play at times.

As a rookie he was different. Ran with passion. Not so much since that year.

No on taking him back.

Robots feel no emotion, so therefore impossible to run angry.

He played like he was mad at the world as a rookie.

He actually started out pretty well in 2005 until he suffered a high ankle sprain in the 5th game. Seems like he never approached the game the same since that point.

So we probably should have kept Shaun and paid him to look cute on the side line instead of the 6.9 million to stay at home?

If the past is any indicator he should play well in your stadium, not a bad pickup if that holds up.

watch it mean he plays well in ours now

what you see is what you get. it ain't gonna change much. ya'll got a haul ahead of you now w/o shaun alexander there to push you through and finding someone to come close to replacing him won't be easy.

and it darn sure won't be julius. :)

he likes to find the biggest OL he can and run to their butt and fall down under it. not sure why he does that but it's his gig.

He'll be mad soon enough... Mad that you guys are the second team to hold back his greatness.

shaun was softer than jello. but julius is your problem now. Mo will get most of the carries anyways. see your team and your ball boy on thanksgiving.

From what i saw of Shaun he looks like hes a bigger Julius Jones with better vision, but still runs like a puthy.

He also is very easy to tackle...It seemed like blades of grass were bringing him down last year.

We have seen enough of Julius to know he wont be back.

I am hoping that when we go to Buffalo he will have a better showing. Of course the coaching staff is splitting time between Jones and Morris but what we did see during preseason was ok, not great. We do have a conservitive way of playing but like I said others were playing like they were angry and he just was a little soft for me. Hopefully it was just a matter of it being preseason...if not when we go there for Thanksgiving I will encourage Mike to leave him there...at least he will know where to go get a room and dinner.

That wasn't always the case.

If you actually look at the Cowboys offense the last couple of years and they eccentially became one dimensional because of the lack of production from JJ. He can blame it on Parcells all he wants but bottem line is Julius wasnt getting it done and we were forced to use the pass. Barber was always considered a third down back and JJ the starter but Barber just outplayed him. Plain and simple.

This offense will actually blossum because Julius is not here! He left sooooo many yards on the field to be a Pro Bowl player. It certainly wasnt the line and defenses didnt actually "key" on him to be a threat. Julius had the perfect situation and opportunity to be "the MAN" but blew it!

Somehow, Seattle ignored the tapes of JJ and allowed his agent to sell them on potential. Please! I'll take bets that JJ will be the next marcel shipp to bounce around the league and look for a chance to play by next season. He did run kicks back at Notre Dame.

So do we want Julius "you're losing us" Jones? Thanks but we're good with Felix Jones. He has vision to make those cut backs JJ wouldnt. He has the speed to get outside on a pitch that normally became routine negative yard plays when you caught them. Naw, we'll stick with the humbled, no predictions (remember when JJ said his goal was 1500 yards? or was it 1700?) and basically make the best out of the opportunity. Yea, we'll stick with FJ. You can have JJ!
