Plug and play Cowboys offense?

The Dak haters were asking before the game for Dak not to try to be a pass heavy hero, but instead, to simply drive the bus, pass when needed but lean more on running the ball and not commit any turnovers.

End result:

Dak went 19 of 25 for 207 yards, 76% completions, 1 TD, 0 INT, sacked 2 times, pressured all game long but still got a 113.3 passer rating...

Exactly what the haters asked him to do, yet now the haters are blasting Dak for being only a bus driver who has no talent and can't carry the team with his arm.

Bunch of ignorant hypocrites are seriously dumbing down this forum.
Let’s see Dak against a winning team before you anoint him the second coming.

Rust? Did Cooper not go in cold without live game experience his first game this year?

Dak throw his same questionable throws into coverage.
The good thing was today, he made a few decent passes. I’m encouraged, but against the Lions, he was so so. Let’s call it like it is.

Would be so much easier just to remove the cancer.
The thing is most of the "offenders" aren't doing anything that's against the rules per se. So they can't just be banned for having dumb opinions. Thankfully the ignore feature exists.

The 2016 offense is the blueprint IMO.

If we can get Dak playing at about 230 yards per game with a 70-75% completion then combined with this defense it should be enough to get us to the playoffs. Then have Dak use his feet a bit more with some QB runs and options reads and I see no reason we can have a deep playoff run. Kellen Moore just needs to get out of his own way and stop being so cute in short-yardage situations...run the damn ball behind Martin.
Agreed. Plus, why did Kellen Moore not once put Farniok as lead Fullback in an I formation on those 3rd & 1s? Would have converted those for 1st downs for sure.

Starting 10 threads with the same topic titled "This team won't win anything until we get rid of Dak" or some other incarnation of the phrase, every week should be against the rules if it is not already.

Combine that with incredibly hostile behavior toward other members and I would argue that could be grounds for removal.

It does my head in. Kellen Moore has built the scheme, and has the tools required but then infuriates with the playcalling.

There could literally just be a “Dak” forum where those threads immediately get placed. If you want to engage in that never-ending debate? Great. Go to that forum.

If other threads turn into Dak debates— boom— they can get bounced to the Dak forum.

Would at least leave the main fan forum clear from being cluttered with the same entrenched opinions and toxicity without banning anyone

This would make tons of sense. As it is right now, every thread gets turned into a chaotic Dak bash fest. We need to allow other topics to be discussed because right now topics that are actually engaging and interesting are being drowned out by the same trash.

The identity of this team is to run the ball down the middle. It seems to be a successful recipe. Yes, Dak is better than Rush, but as long as we have Thunder and Lighting carrying the rock, this offense will be ok.

Do we abandon this system and return to Dak throwing the team to victory?

Cowboys can and will win with this formula.

But there will be games that will require winning via pass. Dak gives us a chance, Rush not so much.

Thankfully that was what I asked ( We asked)

But he had several knuckle head throws forcing the ball into triple coverages , thankfully they were not intercepted, the game could have gotten away .
That was nuts. He threw into triple coverage three times!

Exactly. We are way beyond reaching diminishing returns on the Dak debate. We arrived at “beating a dead horse” months ago.

In fact— that would be a great name for the forum. Instead of calling it the “Dak” forum— we can call it the “dead horse” forum and send any tired debates there to reside lol

The other line of thought is: No one could be a cowboys fan and accept mediocrity after seeing the Team being mediocre for so long. Why have some wise guys telling us not to be mad, be happy with the win, and then no playoff success year after year. The expectation is that the Cowboys should be better from Last year; are they? What did we see in Game one? Did we barely win against what some could argue is the worst team in the NFL? What kind of fan can just accept this?
Accept a blowout win?

he looked good for his first action out. Ball was popping and he didn’t hesitate. No setbacks.

You’ve never seen dak play a winning team?
