How confident are that the Cowboys have turned it around for 2026?

Seattle gave up 17.2 points per game last season. New England 18.8. When Moutain Mahomes has won it has been 17 or less.

I don't see our defense jumping that fast in 1 season.

Voted B......There is no doubt in my mind the talent is there....Question is all on this coaching staff. If the new defensive coordinator comes in and plays as soft as Eberjerk did.....then we are in trouble.

Voted C, hoping for A. Just too many "unknown" variables with the coaching staff and defensive overhaul to get me off the C vote right now.

Honestly, between a and b. I think this team can win the division, and I think we might be able to get to the NFCC if things break the right way and we stay healthy IF this defence is what I think it is and if the rest of the team is as good or better than last year.

no one talks about winning the div !! Even shotty, he talks SB , but no div talk!
I think winning the div is important , if you want to do good in playoffs , or have a chance at getting to champ game and SB.

I think this team can take the div this year and at least win the div round game and get to the champ game.
They split with phil last season, with the worst def in the league, so I dont think phil will be winning the div this season.

Why be cautious about predicting big , or believing in this team ?? You dont lose anything if your wrong lol.

We drafted some players that might be an upgrade. But most of them will need time to develop.

Besides Downs i dont see any difference maker right now that we aquired during the offseason.

Maybe later into the season some of our new players will establish themself, but that wont be enough for this team to really be relevant.

I think the defense will be better, around midth of the NFL maybe top 15. But the offense will be a tad worse. Just because oponents will play them more agressive with our better defense.

I doubt we make the playoffs. But id be happy to be wrong.

This roster will need at least one season before we will see a mentionable difference since there are a lot of newly aquired players that need time to develop.

NFL training camps and pre-season games are under way. And in Oxnard, there is certainly a more positive feel than in the last two seasons.

So here’s the big question: With the excitement of a new season, new defensive coordinator, an apparently good draft (so far), and some other key player acquisitions…how confident are you in the Cowboys going into the 2026 season? And tell us why you picked that answer.

Will this team meet its positive expectations, exceed them, or be what they’ve been lately?

I picked C as my answer. Although I like a lot of what I’m seeing early, hype is always strong in TC. I will wait until the real bullets fly before determining what this team probably is.
That's the thing. I don't fall for the hype. I barely pay attention to it. What I do focus on, however, is what we've added and how those additions will play out. IMO, we simply now have way too much talent to not make the playoffs.

I chose "C". The annual devastation of injuries hasn't begun yet and I want to see who is left standing.

It's a given that we will lose half our secondary during the preseason, not to mention the daily loss of an offensive linemen during the week before opening day.
