I'm curious if it's ever even happened in the NFL. Has a head coach ever stayed on with the same team as a coordinator the year following his dismissal? I can't think of a single instance.
The closest I can get is Campo's return, but that was with years in between...and even that was uncomfortable.

I figure that Dallas sniffs around some of the old San Diego coaches who might be available and have history with Wade. They might even take a look at someone like Ted Cottrell. And if they don't like what they see, I figure they'll just bump Grantham or Campo, with Grantham probably getting first shot.
