Wanted to get a statistical view of what members are thinking...so step right up and make your vote count.

What is the problem with the Cowboys? What is keeping us from playoff and eventual Super Bowl success?

Jerry's inability to hire the right head coach
Wade's coaching philosophy (or lack thereof)
Romo's tendency to throw bad passes in big games
Garrett's inability to minimize Romo's tendencies
All of the Above
What? The Season's Just Started. Gimme a Break!

I would vote for all of the above, but that answer pretty much says that its all Jones fault. He brought in these clown coaches, he assembled this overrated team, it all comes down to him.

It starts at the top. A meddling owner playing general manager.

And Bingo was his Name-o.

However, sometimes a meddling owner can strike it rich every now and then. Look at Al Davis and the Raiders in 2003 (?). But if the owner is too involved, then he's going to pick coaches who allow him to get involved. Hence, Wade Phillips. He's just happy to have a job.

you designed this poll so that most people will naturally be inclined to pick 'all the above'

I understand you are not putting up a scientific poll, but the choices have to be more independant and to the point, rather than collective as you have em.

Just to be clear, I chose 'Jerrys inability to hire the right coach', but does that mean over a period of time? This is more than one coaches' fault? etc....? If you would of simply said "The head coach and the rest of his staff are incompetent", then that would be my choice.

the one you missed, fans over reacting.

You might have a point if we haddnt laid eggs in so many important games in the past 3 years.

Sunday night was a repeat of 2008s nightmare for me. I think everyones reaction is fair, this isnt the same team coming off a 13-3 season, these are they guys that bent over for the eagles last year. Any harsh reaction is completely justified as far as I am concerned.

yeah, when the Cardinals lost last year too, they threw in the towel and knew they would never make the SB. Remember, the Eagles went instead. They had no loses.

Eli has NEVER ever lost a big game. Ben R has never lost a big game, and all those other guys that toss something called a football, has never ever lost a big game. In fact, Brady is undefeated. Good thing too, id hate to see the Pats fans if he ever lost a big game.

By the way, how is a big game defined? Are all games big games? Some games? Are there asteriks on the schedules?

I think it is interesting that for all of the ragging on Romo that has been done on this board, not one person (as of this post) has indicated that Romo is the only one to blame for our problems.

People just like singling out the easiest target, I guess.

I think the biggest problem is that this team has become accustomed to having problems.

Not just small problems but big, crippling problems. It's always something and by now, I don't think players are really that put off by having a few deficiencies here and there as long as all else is well.

I mean, how can any of the players on defense accept such an inability to tackle on the part of the whole unit? I hate to say "if we had such player" but I'm going to. Imagine what Ray Lewis would do if one of the guys starting alongside him missed a handful of tackles in a game. Imagine what he'd do if the whole unit was missing tackles left and right.

As a result, none of the players hold each other accountable. They all just accept that poor tackling can be overcome instead of corrected.
