POLL- What is your trust level now with this organization?

I voted zero cuz I don't think all the new faces will be "that much more impactful" in contrast to the pollyanna crowd, who thinks they will.

I think some of the new player acquisitions end up not being up to expectations and that old friend mediocrity settles in and once again re establishes itself as the norm for this team going forward.

Add in a brand new DC, a QB who has a poor playoff history and a 2nd year head coach who I'm not personally sold on and that's where my skepticism comes from.

Kev, I like some of our roster additions, Chris Parker and his scheme, the quieter off-season. Enough to “believe” before a single down has been played? No. I will believe when it happens.

I respect you and your opinions a lot my friend. We’ve discussed for years how badly this team needed some girth upfront on defense. And yes I am glad we have Q-Williams and several other additions to this defense. This team IS more talented for sure.

But it takes a whole team and an organization that has leadership and a vision they stick to. I’m in no way convinced this FO has a cohesive plan at all. Put another way, if they do, it’s probably an accident, lol.

I hope for the best. But it’s going to take a helluva lot more than a positive off-season to get me to say I trust this organization. And as always I could always be dead wrong!

I think it depends what we are voting for .

Are we voting that we see the better decisions made this offseason addressing defense which I think most would agree bringing more optimism than in last few years . At least back 2021-2023.

Or are we voting for we think we will finally kick down the door.

Cause to many and probably most unless you see this as a SB team or at least a NFC champ team then it’s no more progress than we’ve had previously with better built teams this era .

Who’s to say it was all Jethro’s plan with McCarthy who when we had Quinn as DC we had a 5th and 12th ranked defense .

Low — I'll keep it brief. This is as aggressive as they've been since they signed Terrell Owens back in 2006, and obtaining players like Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark, and Jalen Thompson, drafting Downs and Barham — those things are encouraging but things like extending Terence Steele, keeping Carson on the 53 and cutting Milton are some real head-scratchers.

And I think it depends on what we are Expected to buy into . We all see the upgrades , pleased we’ve finally addressed middle of defense and get why expectations are higher .

But beyond making playoffs I’ve seen no credible analysis we are SB team without seeing some results first.

Even the more optimistic fans are curious to see how good and how far this defense can take us. I’ve seen no one predict us to go further than Seattle or LA in NFC.

I really like what I seen this off season. Actually it started 2 years ago.
But I still need to see results on the field as well.

Pats were 4-13 in 2023 and 2024.

But all other teams except us, have a real head coach who was allowed to hire their own staff and has actual power.

Under the Jones model, we can’t go from worst to first, regardless of the roster because it really, really matters having a head coach with power. The puppet/scapegoat hc model just makes it impossible to mk a deep playoff run, even with 30 seasons to experiment with.

Somewhere between C and D. I’ve seen some encouraging signs for sure and they should battle with Philthy for the division crown but even if they do have a great regular season, will Jerry go all-in at the trade deadline to shore up some of our weaknesses this time or will we hear the same bs excuses? Also, I have zero reason to trust Dak Prescott in the playoffs but that’s another story. Not sold on this coaching staff yet either.

In others words, I’m hoping for a competitive, entertaining season and I’ll enjoy the ride for sure but we all know what truly matters. See ya next January for the definitive answer, I won’t get my hopes up.
