This isn't true at all show me all these head scratchers over the last 10 years and I'm telling you you're not going to find many, maybe Mazi and Taco but many teams make few mistakes ..

So 14 years of 1st rounders 2 bad choice and 2 questionable choices?? add in the trade down for Parsons to pick up Osa..and Guyton maybe a question mark not but they traded down and got BEEBE the starting center as well.. those alone recently says they do a great job in the first round..

Guyton in 24 TBD bet hes starter at left or RT someday, we will see.. INC But hes attached to BEBEE so score!!
  • 2023: Mazi Smith - Pick 26 (DT - Michigan) yikes
  • 2022: Tyler Smith - Pick 24 (T - Tulsa) Great choice not many agreed but they were spot on!
  • 2021: Micah Parsons - Pick 12 (LB - Penn State) great choice and got OSa in the third for trade down
  • 2020: CeeDee Lamb - Pick 17 (WR - Oklahoma) awesome pick
  • 2019: No pick- Amari Cooper Trade worth it
  • 2018: Leighton Vander Esch - Pick 19 (LB - Boise State) wish his neck was better but still a good player.
  • 2017: Taco Charlton - Pick 28 (DE - Michigan) ouch
  • 2016: Ezekiel Elliott - Pick 4 (RB - Ohio State) awesome pick top 3 rookie rushing production ALL TIME
  • 2015: Byron Jones - Pick 27 (DB - UConn) Not bad was good but not great
  • 2014: Zack Martin - Pick 16 (T - Notre Dame) HOF great choice
  • 2013: Travis Frederick - Pick 31 (C - Wisconsin) Great choice
  • 2012: Morris Claiborne - Pick 6 (CB - LSU) Injury setbacks made this disappointing but not terrible.
  • 2011: Tyron Smith - Pick 9 (T - USC) Nailed it
  • 2010: Dez Bryant - Pick 24 (WR - Oklahoma State) Nailed it..
This is a big reason why I cut Jerral Wayne some slack.

I selected Golden. It’s not who I would prefer but I think it’s the most likely.

I’d prefer Macmillan or a trade down.

No, I get it, we all are hoping something crazy doesn't happen, and we have a disappointing draft.

most of the drafts are really good, so I'm expecting some positivity here, but you never know I mean the only draft that was truly disappointing recently was two years ago I guess when you get Mazi and Schoonmaker, I mean Overshown's probably the only one out of that draft that's considered a starter. I definitely don't want another 2023 draft ,we need to hit on a lot more players than that...

What they should do: trade down - perfect draft for it unless someone magically falls to us

What they will do: take a WR

What will make me rage flip the desk over: take a rb round 1

What will the Cowboys do with the 12th pick in round one? There are more options than I could list so if you don’t think any of them are likely, choose none of the above.

I chose trade down, although I’m not convinced that’s what they do. I like a trade down if we can land somewhere between 15-20 and also pick up an extra 3rd or a 4th. That would give us more picks in the top half of the talent pool.
Im going out of the box with Nolen at 12

50% of the board with hate the pick
25% will just claim we suck with Dak so who cares
20% will say we should have picked somebody else
5% will actually like the pick

I don't know who we're going to pick in the first round....but I know the second round pick will be somebody who just came off of serious injury and wont play fore a year or more...

BULLET!!!!
Jeantry.

Trade down if they find a trading partner.
If they are forced to take the pick it's Golden.

DL and RB are deep in this draft, which are needs for the boys.

Trade down add 3rd or 4th, focus on CB/WR/OT in first 2 rounds then go get your DL/RB in the 3rd and after.
you know every time I hear about how deep a draft is at positions we need I get all excited and then watch as every team in the freaking league picks those positions clean in the first few rounds.

Yeah that's the thing they could trade down and still get two to three of those guys off that list we're talking about two spots maybe 5 spots they'll be one of those guys on that list probably at 5 below and they can end up picking up a 3rd or a 4th round pick to go with it I mean it's a win win I don't see how that won't be there focus that should be priority number one I don't mind them standing pat and taking somebody but I'm not comfortable with either receiver at 12 they both seem to have some growing pains I don't know if they're day one starters or how much of adjustment they need so moving down seems to be the smart play..

. I know it's tough but it's also odd you guys don't have AJ on there like he's going to be gone and he might be but again that'd be a tough call I might pass on AJ you know the running back I'm not spelling his name ever again even if he's a Dallas cowboy his name is AJ from now on it's AJ...

If you want a top running back you move, down get one in the 20s, but my best advice from a chair in front of my screen is to get a wide receiver at 3 to 5 spots down and pick up an extra pick..

get your running back in the 2nd round maybe even the 3rd round, although I think I want one in the 2nd round, I don't want them playing around this year.. you grab the upper right fully hopefully Henderson, Hampton, or Johnson one of those three guys should be there in the second round at 44.. you probably should take him, if not wait until; rd 3 get Judkins, martinez, or Harvey ..

The corners worry me because they both have injury concerns and warts, some of the ones we've been talking about anyway.

an offensive lineman doesn't move the needle for me, I don't mind, I get it, BUT unless they have big plans to do all kinds of movement later in the draft to get the guys we need, and yes need and BPA must collide, because if it doesn't and people keep talking about this BPA ..

really??? so Sanders the quarterback if he's there at 12 would be BPA right you should snatch him up, the guy is supposed to be a top 10 pick, he's labeled as a possible starter at worse at best maybe a PB type, you can't pass him up, if we're just strictly going BPAI mean why is it BPA but you list three positions that we shouldn't pick,

no I thought it was BPA all the way, that means all positions around the table.....hmmm I can't wait till this is over.ughh.
They'll take a player in round 1 and won't trade all the way out of the round.

Then the staff will start their rebuilding of that very player...life in professional development for all players becoming a part of their team. Always is.

When Dallas trades down they do so in a targted fashion aiming for a guy they love or a small group of guys they like.
I could very much see them drop 2-3 slots and take Golden the WR.

After years of trench commitment in round 1 jerry wants a jersey he can sell IMHO.
Total agreement on Golden.
