Jim Brown had over 1200 yards in a season when it was 12 games long.....three times.I think 1,200 yards should be the new bench mark for whether or not a RB had a good season or not.
Joe Perry of the 49ers also had multiple thousand yard seasons when they were 12 games long.
Getting a thousand yards in 12 games is the equivalent of getting 1417 yards in a 17 games season.
Here is what Pollards 1005 yards in a 17-game season is equivalent to:
16 games season: 946 yards
14 game season: 828 yards
12 game season: 709 yards
I agree that 1200 yards should be the new "thousand yard" rusher.
