Such an idiot move again by this idiot front office. Was just reading an article that one of the ways teams beat the salary cap is to not pay big money to running backs. It said teams like Chiefs and other playoff teams use young guys and usually dedicate maybe 3-5 million at most to running backs. Here we are going to pay 11 million to one back and probably end up paying close to 15 million total for running backs. How about pay 5 million to backs and use the other 10 million on other positions. Same failing recipe to build a championship team.

I wouldnt mind re-signing him, but not franchising him, he's not even a true RB1
so if 1500 yards and 12 TD's in splitting carries isnt a RB1 to you then what is?

Would you rather have some slow, plodding, over the hill back like Zeke it would take 400 touches to get those yards?

And the amazing part is that almost all of Zeke's 12 TD's were inside the 5 yard line. I think like 6 of them were from the 1 yardline. Pollard would get it down there often and Zeke would vulture the TD. Pollard should probably have had about 18 TD's.

Panic move of not being able to find anyone. Meanwhile Sanders in Philly, Jacobs in LV etc are going to be FA’s as well

They aren't as good as Pollard. However, the Eagles can draft Robinson or Gibbs.

They are pretty darn good. Jacobs led the league in rushing on a bad team and Sanders has over 1200 splitting carries

So Zeke had 2 years remaining on his deal and forced a holdout until Jerry caved and overpaid him....only to see Zeke do what most Cowboys do after a large contract and become a turd.

Pollard busts his butt and gets a bad injury....and he is rewarded with a franchise tag thereby limiting his offers.

This organization sure does screw the worthy players while paying the turds.
