We're not winning games because of the running backs , it's a throwin league. Take a look at the last 10 superbowl winners there champ. No one knows who the RB's even were. Facts. 28 years but they get it huh? Go to bed!
I don't go to bed until after midnight. Last 2 years, they get it and they draft very well.

2nd contracts are earned.

The owners make a killing on those 4-5 year deals.

Don’t feel sorry for Jerry.
I don't feel sorry for Jerry. I feel sorry for our team. Cycling backs provides the best opportunity to build one, especially if we're going to try to do it the way the Joneses do.

Whatever they do with Elliott will be expensive. Even a new contract with a pay cut will not be cheap. If they cut him they still have to pay him. Trade him and still pay a big chunk of his check. Add to that a tag price for Pollard and you have a pot full of money tied up in one position with the expectation of little production in 2023.
We can easily get it under $20 million for both, but yeah, expecting less than that isn't realistic. Franchising Pollard and cutting Elliott would cost us more than $20 million (although we can spread Elliott's hit over two years).

Zeke would sell more jerseys than all of those RBs combined. Jerry wins. Case closed.

Do not pay runningbacks

Interesting, but wonder why base salary was used and not cap hit? Cowboys could restructure Zeke to a 1.1mil base salary and he would be right in the range of those salaries but with a much higher cap hit.
