Pollard Myth

Welll it's all subjective. There isn;t any proof anywhere Tony excels as #1. Not even in college? Nope.

The thing is tony and zeke run different plays. It's how #1 (basher) and #2 ("change of pace") work.

Zeke has to run the ONE run play up the middle. Tony gets to have plays in the flats.

So SHOW ME....Tony being entirely successful running plays up the middle, blocking...doing the things the #1 back MUST do...to keep the running game successful. (or NOT successful if we don't run them right).

You know this.....our #2 RBs have ALWAYS had obscene numbers.....until they have to be #1. WHY are you ignoring it? It doesn't serve your zeke hate agenda? Yep.

Tony got hurt running his favorite play...a flats pass (which was AWESOME...by the way!)...let alone the nasty dirty plays he will have to run as #1. Trucked...both him AND Dak out on IR. GOOD CALL!

Why can’t they feature Pollard in the first half and let Zeke be a closing battering ram? Like Marion Barber was. Zeke has nearly disappeared in the second half of the season. I know he hasn’t been healthy but he can’t be too bad if they keep trotting him out. I do think he could be a 2H nightmare.

Of course this is based on Moore’s ability to learn the running game because he clearly has no clue now.

This has got you SO *** up you couldn't just post it once? good lord dude.....come on.

Because they pay Zeke a lot of money and he has status.

Huge Zeke supporter here.

There is no denying which one of these guys is a better runner right now. The fact that we don't start Pollard and give him 20 carries a game is absolute insanity. I can only assume he's still hurt, because there is no other explanation

He doesn’t need to show you anything with Pollard. All he has to do is show you how Zeke is playing. That’s good enough reason to play Pollard.

Then when you factor in his performances and metrics it’s very clear who should be playing.

Other than when Zeke physically can't go, how many times have they given Pollard 20+ touches in a game in his career?

Yup. We don't know how good Pollard would've been against Arizona with only 3 carries who can properly evaluate his play.

I hope it's because we're careful with using him too much because of his injuries but he needs at least 20 carries in the rematch against the Cards.

Some times I wonder if some of you all just started watching football this week. What makes you think you can feed Tony Pollard 20 carries a game?

I will never forget the 3 game stretch Julius Jones had his rookie year. I think it was around Thanksgiving time. Anyway...he was awesome for that stretch of games and everyone thought we found the next Emmit. That turned out to be the best stretch of football he played. We passed up on Steven Jackson thinking Julius Jones could be just as impactful. We were WRONG. Steven Jackson was much better suited to carry the load. A couple of good runs does not mean you can carry the load!!!
