Pollard quickness

I like Pollard and Dowdle but I just dont see why the Cowboys dont have a punishing big back to take the dirty carries inside and to pound against the weaker teams they have a two touchdown lead against.

Thought pollard showed quickness and burst - hope they use him more than for relief.
he makes nice playes but his first 4 plus carries were under 3YPC then he gets nice one hes feast and Famine not consistent..he gets most of his yards in the screen and dump off plays as receiver..i like the one too punch but lets not forget this has been pollard hes had many games with 3YPC average and then hits one nice play..

The dude is good. He’s needs more snaps and hopefully it helps Zeke remain fresher.

Give him more plays between the 20's. So when they get inside the 20's, Zeke is not over on the sideline for a breather.
I know that irks many fans. But this would be a solution.
However, Zeke is supposedly in the best shape since his rookie season. So maybe that helps.

I love what Pollard brings to the offense and at this point, until Zeke proves he can play like his first two seasons AND hustle on every play (I'm still mad about the Denver game several years ago when he stopped running, put his hands on his hips and watched a Denver DB run an interception back a long ways while Zeke watched instead of chasing), then Pollard is the guy I'd give more carries to over Zeke. Zeke is obviously more talented, but his effort level is all over the map while Pollard plays all out on every play and he is a better receiver than Zeke.

I love it.

Zeke gets the same 3 yard runs but without the long runs and folks act like he’s the only RB in the league that can do that.

Zeke is pure famine without the feast.

We’ll see what he does this year now that he’s gotten himself into shape.

Zeke needs 17 carries a game. Then give him 20 plus in December.

Zeke is an extremely gifted RB. His only issues are bringing his A game every game. Zeke didn't even get 1000 yards last year and has not looked like his old self after first two seasons. Pollard offers speed, better hands, and great hustle. Right now, Zeke has to prove he can play like he did his first two seasons AND prove he will continue to bring his A game when we are aren't winning games. Otherwise Zeke was a 2 year flash in the pan as far as I'm concerned. Hope he has a bounce back year, but I would bet on it.

It's my main gripe with the OC. We use pollard when Zeke raises his hand. That has got to stop. If we sub correctly that shouldn't happen.

More importantly...we need specially designed plays to address the specific defense we're playing. We can keep the off guard...guessing...then burn them.

If the coaches knew how.

I know people are really harping on his "decline", seems like the newest cool thing to do to show your REALLY in the know...but using LAST year to prove it? Come on. We're better than that. Right?

What 4 QB's? Three of them considered not even remotely a threat. A total ship show of an O-line. Not only covid-condensed off season but the guy had covid too.

I'm glad you are HOPING you are wrong...way to show your support! I have some extra poms if you need em.

With a make shift 3rd and 4th string OL last year, and same for the QB's. And the defense keying on Zeke and the run game. As they had nothing in the passing game to really defend. He wasn't as bad as many want to think.
Not even Emmitt or any other great RB would have had 1,000 yards.

I actually prefer Pollard over Zeke except when it's third and short.

He has a gear Zeke doesn't, and he's much quicker.

However, I don't know if he could take the beating of being a lead back.

They need to use whichever back is playing well that day. There were times when pollard would break a big run then not see another handoff, that needs to stop. He needs more touches inside the within 30 yards of the endzone. Zeke has proven to be the better option inside the 10 and that shouldn't change.
