It's hard to say whether Pollard can be the lead dog at that point. He's perfect for his role right now. If we get Zeke from 5 years ago back I don't care if they ever bring Pollard in. Still Zeke is 5 years older now and he's gonna need more breaks. That's just reality. Pollard needs to come in and produce in those situations. He did have some big games the last two seasons but the fact remains that he finishes with a LOWER ypc than Zeke more often than not. Like it or not if he doesn't come in and light it up the Cowboys are rushing Zeke back and not thinking about Pollard much until Zeke gets tired again. That's how it works folks so all the hand wringing over wanting to see more of Pollard is wasted water. The main thing Pollard has got to do is improve between the tackles and he has got to get better at that wonderful skill of always getting back to the line of scrimmage no matter how many guys break into the backfield like Zeke has shown. I don't know if he can but he's never going to be the #1 back if he gets dropped for a loss or no gain on 30% of his carries which I believe was the case last season. Yes the home runs are nice but home run hitters who strike out all the time are Rob Deer or Dave Kingman.. Give me a guy who hits fewer home runs but bats .330..
