Hard to complain in a 23 point win but the refs were terrible yesterday. At least 3 missed calls against the beagles that were blantant.

1. Trotter horse collars JJ- Apparently only Roy will be called for that cause I have seen it half a dozen times this year and not one penalty. this one was obvious.

2. dawkins blow to the head on Bledsoe. Should be called every time. It was blantant. No excuse for missing it.

3. Andrews held either glover or ellis something fierce on a eagle completion. dragged him down from behind.

Troy and Buck commented on how obvious the last 2 were.

Good points.

Add to that Runyan was holding the majority of the game, like he usually does.

I feel like a Commander fan complaining about the referees. I need a shower.

The Horse collar was called last week I don't remember which team it was against but the funny thing was it was on an interception and the O player Horse collared the D player and it was called. So I still haven't seen it called on a D player yet.

Also wasn't that the play JJ actually got hurt on? I remember him limping after the tackle but stayed in the game then a few plays later he got his ankle rolled. I wonder if not for the HC would he still have been hurt? He JJ seems to get a lot of bumps and brusies

I'm about fed up with the horsecollar rule. They made so much hoopla about in the offseason, and it hasn't been called yet. I guess if a "star" player gets pulled down, we will see it called. I just want some consistancy out there.

Henry was called for a pass interference when the WR was grabbing his face mask.

I saw several pretty bad holds. Hopefully that stuff just evens out in the end.

No, Jones got hurt on a tackle in the backfield.

I looked at that one again -- I think Henry did interfere. We got away with one early in the game though when Westbrook got nailed by an LB (Shanle I think) before a pass arrived.

There was a play I noticed, I think in the 2nd quarter maybe, when Julius went about 5 yards deep up the middle on a pass play and the linebacker just tackled him.

Witten ended up getting a catch so it didn't reall matter, but i thought it was pretty blatant

The last two were pretty blatant, I yelled "HOLDING" at the sports bar I was at, couldn't believe it didn't get called.

If you go back and watch the game you will see JJ start limping after the HC I agree the roll up put him out but he was already playing gimpy after the HC. I was just wondering if not for that would he have been hurt as bad by the roll up in the back field?

1. I've seen that penalty called once this year so it's not just Roy. But for it to be a "horse collar tackle" the defender has to grab the back of the shoulder pads. Trotter had the back of JuJo's jersey. It was a legal tackle (according to the rule).

2. I agree. He should be fined for that hit, and the ref responsible for that play should be fined for missing that OBVIOUS call.

3. Their OL was holding all day long.

Here's another... what about that BS PI call on Henry? He gets pulled into the WR by his facemask and somehow he is the one called for a penalty?

I'm surprised you've missed this one, which I believe goes down as legitimately the worst call ever.

On one of the Thompson fumbles, he was ruled down before he fumbled.

It's a NON-REVIEWABLE play, yet they STILL let Andy Reid get a review in, which they lost.

Either way, it's the most basic play under instant replay and they had minutes to interject and say "hey, we can't review this play." Yet, they allowed them to do so anyway.

May not sound big now, but what happens if this was a playoff game and it's a close score?

Rich......

Can someone please explain to me why towards the end of the half, Key catches a pass, steps out of bounds, and the game clock continues to run?

That was a strange one. I was surprised they went through with the review.

I'm not complaining about the officials in our games but I think in general, they've been terrible this year. It seems like they miss some obvious ones, then they make some horrible ones to make up for the ones they miss...then the instant replay is ruining my enjoyment of a game...the refs cop out of trying to make the right call the first time knowing that it will be reviewed anyway so they just let everything go. Then the instant replay disrupts the flow of the game, any momentum, more commercial breaks, and half the time the booth doesn't get the call right anyway.

It's kinda obvious that the refs are waiting for Roy to do a horse collar tackle on somebody for them to actually call it. Its been pathetic how many horse collar tackles i have seen so far this year that havent been penalized.
