Re: Peezy signs with Dallas??
It was just reported that Porter is not going to rush into any deal and is not set to visit any NFL teams just yet.

Better be a very bad rumor.

With not signing an OL, Kicker, or backup qb, it would be ridiculous if Porter was signed before them.....or at all.

The difference is the Boys have so much money to use and the going price for an OL will darn near take all of the funds for the year. Put priorities first instead of working on a headcase like Porter who is not worth signing. Besides that, time is key in that everyone is trying to sign the good players first. Porter doesn't fit in that category.

I dont want Porter either, but it doesnt make any difference what order players are acquired in...and it shouldnt take all our cap space to get an OL or two...and one could argue easily that the pass rush is still the single biggets fault on the team..while the OL hasnt been great in yrs, its been better for the most part than our pass rush has

the guys that signed today, none of them were worth half the money they got...for that kind of money you should be getting franchise altering, dominant players...these guys were all mostly middle of the road players

I disagree regarding the pass rush being the biggest fault because if you look at Rivera not returning and Columbo leaving, what do you have? You have two rookies or some FA castoff taking their positions leaving Romo exposed no matter how fleet of foot he is. I think that is key.

Yes, it would be nice to sign another person to help the pass rush like the guy from the Texans....but not someone like Porter and not putting the focus on him first.

OL is the biggest need for everyone so obviously you have to bite the bullet and take a hit there because we don't have much choice. Unless the Boys draft a stud OL, then it would be okay to miss out on these middle of the road OLmen. But we all know going into the draft, it's not a given w/JJ at the helm.

I don't think he would sign here, looks kind of pissed that he was not picked when someone told him he was going to be picked on that NFL network commercial. I really think he would like to play for a team like cincinati so he can show up Tomlin.(just the type of guy he is ) Randy Moss hates Dallas for not picking his mental ***.

Please don't tell me that I was the only one that wanted Joey Porter on the Cowboys as soon as he was released. You can't tell me he wouldn't put an Irvinesque fire in the locker room while keeping T.O. kinda sorta in check. So Joey Porter anyone?

If there's one thing our defense has lacked, it's attitude.

Not talent.

We need fire and intensity. Porter could bring that. I'd be for bringing him in, but for the right price only.

If he did come here, maybe we wouldn't keep hearing his annoying NFLN spot where he rails us for not drafting him.
