he's a tough S.O.B. who would give our D a whole new pass rushing dimension. It would be like night and day. Then I'd re-sign Colombo and work on Safety, O.LIne and D.line in the draft. I would wait for June cuts to sign a back-up QB . There will be a few that could mentor Tony. :starspin

The difference is the Boys have so much money to use and the going price for an OL will darn near take all of the funds for the year. Put priorities first instead of working on a headcase like Porter who is not worth signing. Besides that, time is key in that everyone is trying to sign the good players first. Porter doesn't fit in that category.

I thought we had 20+ mil to work with here... Even one of these big 7 year 49 mil contracts wouldn't come close to using all of that up. They're all backloaded so you're looking at 4-5 mil a year upfront. We can afford it.

I'd love to have Porter on our D. His attitude would be great for our defense..

If there's one thing our defense has lacked, it's attitude.

Not talent.

We need fire and intensity. Porter could bring that. I'd be for bringing him in, but for the right price only.

If he did come here, maybe we wouldn't keep hearing his annoying NFLN spot where he rails us for not drafting him.
