Just to echo the poster who posted the link, from my own personal talks with people around the org (that is those who work for the team not players, although I did get to speak to one star player while visiting our alma mater) this story was nothing but BS built on Riggins quote from January.

There are other underlying issues (which if you are a savvy NFL fan you will figure out) , but Portis vs Zorn is not one of them

Portis is on the decline? Really? Wow...nearly 1500 yards and 9 rushing TDs last year, as their only real offensive threat all season, and he's on the decline?

Man if the guy wasn't on the decline i suppose he'd be running for 2300 yards a year.

He had a good year, but isn't the dominant force anymore. He doesn't "house it" at all.

And he wore down in the 2nd half. At week 8 he was a shoo in for 1800 yards+ and didn't even get 1400 yards

But that can also be blamed on the myriad of issues with the offense
