Take it for what is worth, but it seems to be panic time up in DC, just take a look.

My friend just texted me this so I ran here to ES to see if it's true. MCL injusry my friend says. He must be listening to the show.

That's what Hanrahan is reporting.

Portis will be on @ 3:00 on the JT Show, I'll transcribe what he says here when he comes on.

I haven't seen this, or heard this, reported yet (now that doesn't mean anything) but until I do I still doubt, seriously, that Portis is missing Sunday night.

Has there been a change in the official injury report? He's still listed as questionable the last time I seen it. Also Zorn did say he's 50/50 but I usually tend to read into that as, "you guys guess if hes going to play or not" Hmmm interesting development for sure.

According to Portis via ES
He isn't revealing anything. Gibbs-Stylee. Damn. He is echoing what we have heard so far is that it just got worse during the bye week. As of last Friday it was diagnosed as a 2nd Degree MCL strain. As of right now (Tuesday Afternoon) Portis can't extend his knee straight at all.

I get you, but this sounds more serious, somebody just wrote this:

they're saying it's a knee sprain. apparently Portis said he could bend is knee but not fully extend it today. said he's gonna try and play but he won't practice all week. I doubt he plays and if he does he won't be near 100%

does not matter....if we are going to win 10 or 11 games...who we play does not matter. WE have to play up to our potential...and if we do...who we play will not matter.

I understand what you are saying but PLEASE, it wouldn´t hurt our chances if the mid-season MVP in many of the so called "expert" eyes doesn´t play on sunday.

Which we all know is another way of saying the MCL is partially torn.

Awful. I had a bad feeling this injury was going to pretty serious. My only hope is that Betts plays even if hes at around 85%. Be happy Cowboy fans.

I am not happy. I really could care less whether he plays or not. I just want the Cowboys to play good football, period!

With or without Portis, if we can't beat you guys we are not going anywhere anyway.

Hey, I was told the same from a friend that lives in DC. The bruise along with sprain could also mean sprained MCL. COULD!

All right, be straight with us. Is this injury for real or not?

You guys are in the same possition with CP as we are with Romo. You need to get that knee healed, and if he has to sit 2-4 weeks so be it because we all know you guys have no chance in the POs without CP, just like we have no shot in hell without a healthy Romo. You gotta do what you gotta do to get him back as close to 100% as you can as soon as you can.

You could care less if he plays or not? Oh please. If he doesnt play your chances of winning go up by a lot. Its a fact.

Yeah we need him healthy. It's just a shame that Betts is injured as well, so we have to rely on a washed up Alexander. Hmm, I guess it is like the position you were in.

Shaun Alexander - the Brad Johnson of running backs.

Unfortuntely it sounds like a legit injury. One that could possibly linger for the rest of the season. I think I remember LT having a 2nd degree knee sprain last year or 2 years ago and he looked awful when he tried to play through the pain. I mean if he does somehow play i bet he will not be effective and that will be the story of the game.
