For you its about beating the Cowboys... for me and some others... a win any way we can get it regardless of who we play and/or who is playing.

I would have no problem being happy with a win over a team that was missing 20 starters. All I want is the W... nothing else matters... who played, who didnt.
Exactly. Teams definitely didn't care or let up when Romo, Felix, TNew, Witten, etc were all hurt. Injuries as we all know are a part of the game and teams aren't going to feel sorry for another team because they have a key player or two out by the time you play them.

This is a big, big blow for the Skins with the Cowboys, Giants, and Ravens scheduled over the next 4 weeks.

I dont know if completely follow. For me its about beating the Cowboys, well yeah thats who the Commanders play this Sunday. I too have no problem beating a team that is missing a bunch of players due to injuries. We need every W we can get especially if Portis is to miss 2-4 weeks. I just looked it up and we play Cowboys, Seattle, Baltimore and the Giants. Yikes.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but let me ask you this. You can´t disagree that not having Portis for a couple of weeks really affects the skins? or can you?
it may affect them...but if we are playing well..we can beat anybody...not every team in the NFL can say that. So all I am concerened about is us playing well. If we play well Portis or no Portis should not matter to DALLAS....now the Skins will have to figure out what THEY are going to do to compensate for the loss...but Dallas won 13 games last year...so it is not like they don't have what it takes to win...we were 4-1, with the ball on the road in Arizona before Romo got hurt....so it is a matter of Dallas QUICKLY remembering what it feels like to be successful...if they do that...we will go on a roll

Damn man, that's a pretty tough schedule for you guys. Though Seattle looks like crap this year they are getting Hasselbeck back this week.

does not matter....if we are going to win 10 or 11 games...who we play does not matter. WE have to play up to our potential...and if we do...who we play will not matter.

I disagree. We need to finish 2nd in the division so any slide by the skins helps us.

won't matter if WE don't win...and WE won't win if we do not play to our potential....it is what it is and we are where we are....and if we are HOPING other teams lose then the COwboys and it's fans might as well get ready for next year...WE have to win our games....this is the bed we made for ourselves...we can afford to lose ONE...beyond that, it will be an exercise of "crossing your fingers and holding your breath"....much like a couple of years ago when we needed Philly to beat Washington...and we played the Rams later that night. If we do not want to be in that situation, just go play like you should have been playing all year...and the records will take care of themselves. We were 13-3 last year....so it's not like we can't pile up wins...I think we even won 6 or 7 in a row. Who left on our schedule resembles the 2007 Pats? We can beat anybody. After the SKins, we have the Seahawks, 49ers, Ravens and Giants in Dallas. And Philly and Pitt on the road. Before the season started, who DID NOT think we would win 5 or 6 of those games? Well because of how things have turned out we are all nervous! But there is no time for nerves...to make the playoffs WE are going to have to play well, and if we do that, it will not matter what other teams do.

On ESPN radio, Zorn did not sound too optimistic about Portis getting better. The host went on to point out that it's pretty bad if he's 50-50 on a Monday after a bye week.

well even if true I still wont believe he is out until the inactive list is released like cl said. The guy is always battling some nagging injury but he always plays at a high level.

and to me, the game is still just as difficult, but he is the heart of that offense and if campbell has to throw 50 times I would think that would benefit us, but with this season as a fan I am prepared for anything and everything.

Latest on Sportingnews.com - Commanders coach Jim Zorn specifically called Clinton Portis' knee injury a bone bruise on his femur in addition to a sprain.

The Commanders are sure to do whatever it takes to get Portis ready for a key division game against Dallas in Week 11, but these injuries don't sound promising. It shouldn't anyone that his that his health is becoming a major issue after a heavy workload in the first half of the season.

I am not happy. I really could care less whether he plays or not. I just want the Cowboys to play good football, period!

With or without Portis, if we can't beat you guys we are not going anywhere anyway.

COSIGN...

I hope he is healthy and at full strength. With the cowboys talent, Portis being healthy should be no excuse. Now is the time, no matter where or who we play, that we MAN-UP and play how we are suppose to.

Portis has been their best player by a LONG shot this year. They've done a great job running the ball, and honestly, I think it's masked alot weaknesses that team has defensively as well as QB.

Without Portis they are nowhere near 6-3

Now if Tonya Harding could come out of nowhere and whack Moss in the knee with a tire iron we might be in business!
