STATEMENT FROM CLINTON PORTIS

Ashburn, VA – The following is a statement from Commanders running back Clinton Portis regarding recent comments he made to a Norfolk, VA television station:
"In the recent interview I gave concerning dog fighting, I want to make it clear I do not take part in dog fighting or condone dog fighting in any manner."

Seems like a pretty sincere apology doesn't it

Except for what he subsequently said on NFL Network... I saw a recap of that statement, not direct quotes, but here are the highlights:

States that it is unfair to go against him for something that isn't the biggest thing in the world...

...I just don't think it's that serious.

I dunno, AG, sounds like a pretty mealy-mouthed "apology" to me... mind you, I understand that you're basically mocking his apology too, I just wanted to chip in with that...

of course, just a slow day at the office

last weekend i was helping a friend clean out his pool, so when we took off the cover there were all these wolf spiders (i like spiders) anyway they are pretty good size and really cool. But dude is going around with his boots squashing them all. Why, just a senseless killing, just unnecessary.

Though i dont have a problem swatting mosquitos or flies, and ive helped kill some posionous snakes in my brothers back yard. And the neighbors used to have this huge akido that for some reason just did not like me and would freak out whenever i was in the back of my house and try to get over the fence so one day i gave it a good kick to the head when it was up on its hind legs and barking at me. But that was after much aggravation from that particular animal.

I also think putting mice in an aquarium with a snake so they just sit there in a panic awaiting their death is cruel.
