Why did he say the same thing 3x in a row? :laugh2:
Portis probably didn't understand what he himself was saying the first 2 times!:D

Clinton Portis unloaded on head coach Jim Zorn Tuesday on a radio appearance, sarcastically calling Zorn a "genius."
This is what happens when players have more power with ownership than coaches. "We got a genius for a head coach, I don't know, I'm sure he on top of things. He's got everything figured out," Portis said, clearly unhappy about his lack of touches last week. "If you've got a problem with me not practicing and can't do it that way, maybe you feel like you need to sever ties, split ties with me? Split ties with me. But don't sit here and throw me out like I don't pay attention, like I don't know what's going on, like I'm making mistakes, I'm the problem"

Why are you responding to this? Don't you know the media twists things? How is this going to affect the team anyway? It just gets fans fired up is all.

;) ;) ;)

The Commanders would be absolutely ignorant if they don't suspend him.

Whats funny about this is the way some Cowboy fans are reacting.
If this was ABOUT a Cowboy player, it would be the media distorting the facts.

Yeah...so...

What's your point?

I agree. You have a rookie coach, who nobody expected to win more than 3 or 4 games, who has come in and done a phenomenal job considering all the factors and variables, and a primadonna player running his mouth to get his way.

The team should stand behind their coach, because Zorn can become a really good coach if given time to develop this team, but not with such a distraction trying to make him out to be the bad guy.

I love Portis, he's one of my favorites on the team, and because of his status with the team and fans, coupled with the fact Snyder wants Cowher so damn bad he can taste it, I'm positive Snyder will do his typical idiot Jerry Jones like move and fire the coach at the end of the season instead of suspending the player that should be the one disciplined.

Next season, I see Portis and no Zorn. Sad really, becasue I'd much rather see the opposite, but Snyder has proven he has no brain since the day he took over.

Can you imagine what the NFL would be like without egos? I sure can't.

Look at Romo and Witten's interviews after the game and you will know what the NFL would look like without egos!

Just Saying.....

It would be something you could be proud of and an example to young kids!

No it wouldn't. The transcript is right there. Noone is that stupid. Even if this was a Cowboys player, everyone would understand that he is out of line, and that something needs to be done before it gets worse.

Also, Ladell Betts is made of glass. He's a backup - and that's where he belongs.

I don't know about that. I have seen posters see an interview on TV and say it isn't what the player said. They claim the interviews are doctored.

Like I said-2 wrongs don't make a right.

Yes-it's not only Portis, but lots of players on lots of teams openly speak out of over not being involved enough as well(i.e. Westbrook has done so with Andy Reid on occasions). However-the big difference is that those players aren't lightning rods for their teams. I believe Portis is well-respected among his teammates.
