Someone did this thread last year and I really liked it. I don't remember who it was, but I wanted to resurrect the idea. This thread means whatever you want it to mean. Just who are your favorite guys at each position.

QB...
RB...
FB...
WR...
TE...
OT...
OG...
C...

DE...
NT...
OLB...
ILB...
CB...
SS...
FS...

If you want to explain why, feel free.

QB...Greg McElroy. His Dad works for the Cowboys and he is smart.
RB...Jacquizz Rogers. I'd love to have him on Returns and as the 3rd back, but think he has risen too high.
FB...Henry Hynoski. He makes me feel kind of funny.
WR...Cecil Shorts. This is a guy I really hope we get.
TE...Cameron Jordan. I do not want a TE at all though.
OT...Tyron Smith. He is the guy I think we will take.
OG...John Moffitt. I'd like to get 2 OGs for the future of this OL.
C...Kristofer O'Dowd. He's a Tucson native and this is a pure homer pick even though he went to USC instead of UA.

DE...Cameron Heyward. I'd love to take a chance on him if he fell to the 2nd.
NT...Kenrick Ellis. If he's there in the 3rd I think we should grab him.
OLB...Aldon Smith. I don't believe the hype of him to Dallas, but I like him.
ILB...Mason Foster. I actually wrote the Cowboys about watching the Oregon State game and considering him at ILB instead of OLB.
CB...Patrick Peterson. In my not so humble opinion, the alpha male of this draft. Don't faint.
SS...Ahmad Black. I'd love to take a late round or UDFA flyer on him but wouldn't use an early round pick.
FS...Deunta Williams. I think he can be a steal.

Good thread..Off the top of my head

QB - Colin Kaepernick - I think he'll be pretty good
RB - Jacquizz Rodgers - Cool name, Muggsy Bogues potential
FB - Anthony Sherman - Moose
TE - No thanks
WR - Randall Cobb
OT - Gabe Carimi
OG - Marcus Cannon - Body type, athleticism remind me of LA
C - Alex Linnenkohl - Cause his name is the only one I can remember at C

DE - JJ Watt
DT - Nick Fairley
ILB - Mason Foster
OLB - Brooks Reed
CB - Marcus Gilchrist - He's physical, not talked about
S - Tyler Sash - Smart, physical, leader
S - Jaiqwuan Jarrett

QB-Colin Kaepernick...Strong arm, very mobile.
RB-Jacquizz Rodgers...Can be used in many ways, love the name.
WR-Cecil Shorts III...Just something about him, want us to get him.
OT-Tyron Smith...Need OT badly and has a super high ceiling.
OG-Danny Watkins...Maybe not the most athletic but will battle you until the whistle.
C-Stefen Wisniewski...Great intangibles and work ethic.

DE-JJ Watt...Athletic with a great motor.
NT-Kenrick Ellis...A big body with a burst and agile.
OLB-Aldon Smith...great potential to be a sack artist.
ILB-Mason Foster...Love his toughness and a willing tackler.
CB-Patrick Peterson...favorite player in the draft.
SS-Ahmad Black...doesn't test elite but plays well where it matters the most.
FS-Rahim Moore...maybe our answer for future safety.

QB...Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick. I think Colin has great upside.

RB...Have not invested much time in RBs for various reasons. I would be ok with Quizz or Bilal...two different types I guess.

FB...I kind of like the Kid From Stanford, will not attempt his name. Seems like he has more all around game.

WR...Not going high end picks. Kerley from TCU, Shorts, Salas (sp?)..think they might be reasonable picks we might look at.

TE... Really have no interest in this position for us. So I will go homer pick of Lee Smith of Marshall as he is a big bruising blocking TE.

OT...Smith, Carimi, Costanzo

OG... Pouncy, Watkins, Moffitt.

C...Not real big on most of the Centers in this years draft. Although he is not considered the best among a weak group...for some reason I liked the play of the TCU Center in the few games I watched him.

DE... Cam Joran, JJ Watts...to be honest I don't want us taking a 3-4 DE unless we trade down and also manage to trade back into the first for an OT.

NT... Taylor or Ellis...both big guys but both seem to have character or work ethic issues.

OLB... Von Miller

ILB... Not too thrilled by this years class.

CB... Patrick Peterson

SS...
FS...
Again not too thrilled with this years class. You could go for a few but I think the better players in the long run might be CBs that convert to safety.

Cool thread Hos.

QB...Colin Kaepernick..Newton-like skill w/o the character concerns
RB...Taiwan Jones/Dion Lewis..can't list just one
FB...Stanley Havili..think FB less of an option than most, but do like Havili
WR...Jeremy Kerley..would love him in 5/6
TE...Jordan Cameron..no TE needed, though
OT...Ben Ijalana..No. 2 rated OT for me behind T Smith
OG...Will Rackley..he will probably play OG in NFL, but has versatility
C...Mike Pouncey..think he is best-suited at guard

DE...Cameron Jordan..I have him ahead of Watt
NT...Phil Taylor..if he falls into the second, I want to move up
OLB...Justin Houston..we won't get him, but I think he's a perennial Pro Bowler
ILB...Martez Wilson..very high on him, think he has ability to play OLB too
CB...Brandon Harris..steal in 2nd round
SS...Ahmad Black..just a "player"
FS...Marcus Gilchrist..think he is every bit as good as Moore

QB Cam Newton...He impressed me in his win over Alabama
RB Ryan William... same size and weight of Emmitt also has the too slow tag
FB Owen Marecic... sorta due it all type
WR Julio Jones...liked him last year and like him again this year
TE Luke Stocker...a Vols TE worked pretty good for us before use the force Luke
OT Tyron Smith...I think he will be all pro before his career is out
OG Mike Pouncy... He needs some work but may be able to play well in this league.
C Stefen Wisniewski...got attitude!

DE JJ Watt... goes non stop
DT/NT Muhammad Wilkerson...small school but nice size
ILB Akem Ayers... got a bit of attitude to him also
OLB Brooks Reed... solid I don't believe he will be spectacular.. just good and solid
CB Jimmy Smith... is the best of the lot but not sure were his head is
S Quinton Carter ... his lack of speed doesn't worry me he seems to be in the right spots which is what counts

QB: Christian Ponder QB, Florida State - The injuries are my only concern but I really like this kid and think he could be the safest QB pick in the draft.

RB: Taiwan Jones RB, Eastern Washington - Ingram is obviously better rated, but Jones is the most intriguing to me.

FB: Henry Hynoski FB, Pittsburgh - Love his size and upside but I'd be perfectly fine with Owen Marecic as well.

WR: Julio Jones WR, Alabama - If we were in the market for WR, I'd want Jones over Green.

TE: Kyle Rudolph TE, Notre Dame - Natural TE with soft hands.

OT: Tyron Smith OT, USC - I am hard on him, but his upside is undeniable.

OG: Marcus Cannon OT, TCU - The most dominant run blocker in the class.

C: Stefen Wisniewski C, Penn State - Great bloodlines and resume.

DE: Cameron Jordan DE, California - I see him more as a 4-3 guy, but his hand play is way advanced, doesn't just rely on strength and quickness.

NT: Kendrick Ellis DT, Hampton - Obviously. Strong, quick for his size, versatile and hustles.

OLB: Von Miller OLB, Texas A&M - Could be a very special player.

ILB: Casey Matthews ILB, Oregon - Weird ILB draft class, but I'll go with Casey. Workouts weren't great but he makes plays.

CB: Patrick Peterson CB, LSU - Special athlete.

SS: Shiloh Keo SS, Idaho - Hard worker, great feet and special teams experience. Could be a force over the middle given time.

FS: Patrick Peterson CB, LSU - So good he shows up on the list twice. I still think FS is a position with high impact on the secondary and with Peterson's ball skills, speed and size, FS would be his best position. If we came away from this draft with Peterson, Kenrick Ellis and a couple of quality linemen, I'd consider this draft a huge success.

OP
I know you said "it can mean what you want it to mean" but it looks like yu have some sort of value based in there.

For example, surely you don't think Cecil Shorts is a better prospect than AJ Green? But maybe you love him in the 5th round better than you love AJ Green in the top 5?

If you want yours to reflect only the best guys, go ahead. No one is stopping you. I am not saying these guys are the best, just the ones that are my favorites.

QB... I don't care
RB...again don't care
FB...Hynoski
WR... Green
TE...don't care
OT...Carimi is my favorite but if at 9 I would take Smith first
OG...Ijalana but no chance at 40, also like Cannon and Rackley
C...Fusco

DE...Watt but later in the draft I like Ellis and Jenkins
NT...Ian Williams
OLB...Aldon Smith and Brooks Reid
ILB...Kelvin Sheppard
CB...Peterson and Harros
SS...Sands
FS...Aaron Williams

QB Christian Ponder
RB Kendall Hunter
FB Owen Marecic

TE Lance Kendricks
OT Tyron Smith
OG Danny Watkins
C Pouncey
DE JJ Watt
NT Phil Taylor
OLB Von Miller
ILB Mason Foster
CB Patrick Peterson
FS Aaron Williams
SS Eric Hagg

qb- pat devil- played locally(im from nj) and has a ton of upside for a 4th or 5th round pick.
rb- dion lewis- damn near won the heisman as a freshman. Ton of potential for again, a mid to late rd pick
wr- julio jones- absolute beast. That's all there is to say.
ot- castonzo- huge and very smart. will start in the nfl for a while.
og- marcus cannon- reminds be of leonard davis a lot. Hopefully whoever picks him puts hom at og right away unlike Davis.
de- cameron jordan- he's a unique talent that is perfect for the 3-4. Just a bit less value than #9 overall or I would want us to take him.
dt- phil taylor- monsterous. The next wilfork as far as I'm concerned.
olb- justin houston- freak athlete that excelled once georgia moved to the 3-4
cb- dowling- peterson is obvious, but dowling is the next best value pick. He'd be going in the 1st right behind prince had he not been injured last year. Love him in the 2nd.

Just did the positions I actually have a favorite at.

QB... Ricky Stanzi
RB... Kendall Hunter
FB... Mr. Hynoski
WR... AJ Green
TE... Julius Thomas
OT... Derek Sherrod
OG... Danny Watkins
C... Brandon Fusco

DE... Kenrick Ellis
NT... Dareus
OLB... Quinn
ILB... KJ Wright
CB... Shareece Wright
SS... Deunta Williams
FS... Deunta Williams

QB: I think they're all gonna stink.

RB: Dion Lewis is gonna be good. I want the Cowboys to get Alan Bradford late, or use the 252 on the best running back that falls out of the draft.

WR: Would love to get Titus Young, even if it cost us 40. Greg Little would look good with a star, in my dreams we get him in the 4th.

OT: MIMS. Would anyone be surprised if we just picked this guy in like the 3rd? Willie Smith: has all the tools, only played o-line 3 years; pretty good as a senior.

OG/C: Rackley. I think Rodney Hudson would be a good pick in the late 2nd or 3rd.

D-Line: I like Cam Jordan best for the Cowboys schemes. Chris Neild in the 5th. Anthony Gray is worth a look.

LB: Aldon Smith would be a good 1st round pick. Josh Bynes would be a good late round understudy for James. Back when this defense was really good (the 2nd half of 2009), Bobby Carpenter was doing a solid job of covering TE's. Maybe Mark Herzlich can fill that role; he's tall and demonstrates good coverage and playmaking skills. Plus I would buy a Herzlich jersey the second the pick was turned in.

CB: Favorites are Patrick, Marsh, House, Carmichael, Cortez Allen. Byron Maxwell late could be a ST ace.

S: Jeron Johnson, Searcy. I would love Ahmad Black

K/P: I do not want to spend a draft pick on a kicker or punter.

QB- Colin Kaepernick
RB- Jacquizz Rodgers
FB- Owen Marecic
WR- Jeremy Kerley
TE- NONE
OT- Gabe Carimi
OG- Marcus Cannon
C- Jake Kirkpatrick

DE- J.J. Watt
DT- Nick Fairley
NT- Phil Taylor
OLB- Brooks Reed
ILB- NONE
CB- Patrick Peterson

QB...QB Mitch Mustain USC - Strong arm, as he's able to throw all the routes

RB...Mikel Leshoure, RB, Illinois

FB...Henry Hynoski, FB, Pittsburgh - plays football the way it should be played

Slot WR... Ronald Johnson USC

WR... A.J. Green, WR, Georgia

TE...D.J. Williams, TE, Arkansas - would not suprise if we pick him play as H back

LOT...Derek Sherrod, OT, Mississippi State

ROT...Jah Reid, OT, Central Florida 6-7 #321 - the meanest OT in the draft

OG...John Moffitt, G, Wisconsin - the meanest OG in the draft

OG... Will Rackley, G, Lehigh

C...Kristofer O'Dowd, C, USC

DE...Muhammed Wilkerson, DE/DT, Temple

NT...Chris Neild, NT, West Virginia

OLB...Robert Quinn, OLB, North Carolina

ILB...Chris White, ILB, Mississippi State

CB...Ras-I Dowling, CB, Virginia

SS...Tyler Sash, SS, Iowa

FS...Deunta Williams, FS, North Carolina

Based on who I like combined with who I think could provide draft value:

QB-Blaine Gabbert...1st Rd..similar to Ryan, imo...but more mobile
RB-Mikel LeShoure...2nd Rd..Pro Bowl if goes to the right team
FB-Henry Hynoski...4th Rd...stud
WR-Dwayne Harris..7th Rd...late value with nice all-around skills
TE-Zack Pianalto...7th or UDFA...could stick somewhere
OT-Marcus Cannon...2nd Rd...rock solid if in the 2nd
OG-Danny Watkins...2nd...ditto
C-Rodney Hudson...2-3rd...starter from day 1

DE (3-4)-Cam Heyward...2nd Rd
DE (4-3)--Robert Quinn...1st Rd
DT-Marcell Dareus..1st Rd..lock o the draft, imo
OLB-Von Miller...1st Rd
ILB-Kelvin Sheppard...4th Rd
CB-Brandon Harris...2nd Rd...
SS-DeAndre McDaniel...4th Rd
FS-Duenta Williams..6th Rd

QB...Andy Dalton- Smart, knows how to win and how to lead a team.
RB...Jamie Harper- Big physical back that can catch too.
FB...Anthony Sherman-He can block, catch, and play special teams.
WR...Leonard Hankerson-Doesn't really fit what we need, but I think he's underrated and could be a steal.
TE...D.J. Williams- Could carve out a role like John Phillips did if Phillips is unable to return from injury.
OT...Marcus Cannon- In round 2 I think he would fit perfect at RT.
OG...Will Rackley- Comes from a small school but has plenty of playing experience and could contribute early.
C...Stephen Wisniewski- Bloodlines, work ethic, and flexibility would make him high on my list.

DE...Muhammad Wilkerson- Too tall to be a NT in my opinion, but his size and quickness would excel on the edge.
NT...Jerrell Powe-Short fireplug in the middle of the defense that gives good effort.
OLB...Robert Quinn-His strength and speed getting to the QB will translate nicely to the NFL.
ILB...K.J. Wright- A leader on the field, with the production to back it up.
CB...Patrick Peterson-Hard not to like the best player in the draft.
SS...Da'Norris Searcy-Missed 3 games and still led his team in INTs and PBU, and he can be used in the return game.
FS...Quinton Carter-Big time playmaker, I don't think his timed speed is as important as his instincts on the field.

QB: Colin Kaepernick
RB: Mark Ingram
FB: Henry Hynoski
WR: A.J. Green
TE: Nate Solder lol
OT: Gabe Carimi
OG: Mike Pouncey
C: Steve Wisniewski

DE: JJ Watt or Nick Fairley
DT: Marvin Austin
OLB: Aldon Smith
ILB: Martez Wilson
CB: Curtis Brown
FS: Aaron Williams
SS: Da'norris Searcy

QB - Jake Locker
RB - Ryan Williams although this is a real weak class
FB - Charles Clay
WR - Overall Id say Julio but value-wise and what not I LOVE Edmond Gates. His type produces early
TE - Rudolph is money
OT - Tyron
OG - Pouncey
C - Wis

DE - Cam Jordan/Watt/Heyward all about equally
NT - Liguiet
OLB - Quinn
ILB - Bruce Carter
CB - Peterson
SS - Peterson
FS - Peterson
