Position by Position...Your Favorite Prospects

Love the idea of this thread.

QB: Andy Dalton-a winner
RB: Mark Ingram-Every time he touches the ball, I hear Berman's voice in my head say, "Marrrrk Ingram". Seriously, this guy looks so much like Emmitt when he runs. Doesn't have Emmitt's balance or moves, but he looks like him in a uni.
WR: Julio Jones-big and tough.
TE: DJ Williams--One of my pet cats. I don't really see how we can fit him in with all of our needs, but I love this guy.
FB: Don't really have a fav.
OT: Carimi
OG: Watkins
OC: Pouncey

DL: Cam Jordan
OLB: Miller
ILB: Foster
S: Aaron Williams
CB: Peterson

Honestly, I don't have the knowledge to say. Probably only scouts, coaches or GM's have that knowledge. Anything I say would be just a guess.

QB: Arvell Nelson - LOL, I don't care.
RB: Bilal Powell
FB: Henry Hynoski
WR: Randall Cobb
TE: Virgil Green
OT: Tyron Smith
OG: Jason Pinkston
C: Tim Barnes

DE: Cameron Heyward
DT: Phil Taylor
OLB: Sam Acho - Just because of an interview, I heard. Great guy.
ILB: Quan Sturdivant
CB: Brandon Harris or Davon House - Can't decide.
FS: Rahim Moore
SS: Ahmad Black

QB- Ryan Mallett, Arkansas...not really in love with any of this years crop, but I like Mallett's talent and production in a prostyle offense against the best defensive talent in the country over anyone else by a wide margin.

RB- Mark Ingram, Alabama...kids a winner...does everything well and as most have noted for a couple yrs now, is eerily similar to Emmitt in his running style and the way he goes about his business.

FB- Shaun Chapas, Georgia...had some injuries but when healthy he was a quality do everything FB

WR- AJ Green, Georgia...will be a very good pro if he ends up on the right team...still dont think he's as good as Dez Bryant, but he will be very good

TE- Luke Stocker, Tennessee...another SEC guy...not an allstar in the making, but probably develops into a decent starter...another position I dont really love any of the prospects

T- Tyron Smith, USC...he's my hope for our 1st rd pick...massive upgrade at RT this yr and down the road could be an elite LT...good chance this kids a probowler down the road IMO

G- Marcus Cannon, TCU...I think he may start out at RT for most teams, but eventually move inside to G like Nate Newton did with us...he reminds me some of Newton as a player too, not much of a physique but moves very well for his size

C- Stefen Wisniewski, Penn St...another guy I'm not sure will ever be a star player, but should become a dependable starter...another guy I'd like to see on our team

DE (3-4)- Cameron Jordan Cal...love Dareus too and also believe Watt will be a solid starter, but I like Jordan's all around ability and his pass rush potential a little more...this is a great yr for 3-4 DE's

DE (4-3)- Robert Quinn, N Carolina...might take a yr or two but love his upside

DT (3-4)- Kendrick Ellis, Hampton...is athletic enough that he could play 3-4 DE too...if he stays out of trouble, could be a major force...would love to see us get him in the 3rd, if he lasts that long

DT (4-3)- Nick Fairley, Auburn, will probably have to be coached hard, but a 4-3 team would be crazy not to want this guy

OLB (3-4)- Von Miller, Texas A&M...should be a really good player if used correctly, though I still worry about his smaller size when holding up vs the run

OLB (4-3)- Bruce Carter, N Carolina...athletic marvel...once he's 100% he should blossom for somebody in the right 4-3 scheme at weak OLB

CB- Patrick Peterson, LSU...still am not sure he's the prospect some here think and I also think he'll move to FS at some point, but he is the best CB prospect in this draft

S- Rahim Moore, UCLA...another positoon (along with QB and TE) that I think basically stinks, but Moore has flashed real playmaking skill at times and should be a quality starting FS if he works at it

QB...Greg McElroy
RB...Mark Ingram, Da'Rell Scott, Noel Devine, Brandon Saine, Donald Buckram
FB...Henry Hynoski
WR...Terrence Toliver
TE...Rob Housler - graduated from same HS as me
OT...Derek Sherrod, Derek Newton, Trevis Turner, Darius Morris
OG...Benjamin Ijalana, Marcus Cannon, John Bender, Kyle Hix
C...Ryan Bartholomew

DE...Cameron Jordan
NT...Stephen Paea, Sione Fua
OLB...Sam Acho - HOMER PICK
ILB...Casey Matthews, Kendall Smith
CB...Brandon Harris, Curtis Brown, DeMarcus Van Dyke
SS...Ahmad Black
FS...Mark LeGree, Aaron Williams, Frantz Placide

QB: Andy Dalton - Just payed a lot of attention to him; heard skins like him in the second round.

Greg McElroy - all the Brady comparisons, will definitely be watching him closely.

RB: Ryan Williams - not just local bias, this kids going to be good in the right system - perhaps shannys?, fingers crossed.

WR: A.J. Green, Greg Little, Greg Salas
C/G: Mike Pouncey

DE: JJ. Watt, Aldon Smith
DE/OLB: Robert Quinn - will be one heck of a story, Von Miller
DT: Marvin Austin, Stephen Paea, Phil Taylor

CB: Patrick Peterson

QB. Cam Newton
RB. Jordan Todman
FB. Henry Hypnoski
Wr. Julio Jones
Te. Kyle Rudolph
OLT. Tyron Smith, Ort- Gabe Carimi
G. Marcus Cannon
C. Mike Pouncey

DE. 3-4: JJ Watt 4-3: Robert Quinn
DT. Marcell Dareus
OLB. Aldon Smith
ILB. Martez wilson
CB.Jimmy Smith
FS. Patrick Peterson
SS. Quinton Carter

My Favs:

QB - Dalton - He just strikes me as the best leader among the QB's.
RB - Mark Ingram - I think he's going to be very, very good for a long time.
FB - Owen Marecic - Like Moose Johnston, he's a good blocker and very smart.
TE - Charles Clay - Athletic pass catcher who might one day turn into a very good pro.
WR - Tandon Doss - I love his instincts and hands. He catches everything thrown his way.
OT - Tyron Smith - I still love Carimi, but this guy has too much going for him not to love more.
OG - Danny Watkins (Moffitt a close second) - Overaged, but mean as hell and really enjoys mashing people.
C - Wisniewski - I love his game and his ability to move to G if needed.

DE - JJ Watt - Still wouldn't take him at 9, but the guy is a self-made football player and the game is very important to him.
DT - Nick Fairley - Love his ability and attitude. Ryan would love this guy.
ILB - Mason Foster - weak year for ILB, but I really do like this guy.
OLB - Aldon Smith - Some of the longest arms I've ever seen and he moves laterally like a much smaller guy. Great natural pass rusher.
CB - Peterson - How can you not like him the most out of the CB's?
FS - Aaron Williams - Listing him as a FS because that's what I think he'll play.
SS - Ahmad Black - Not too slow to play SS, IMO. He is a natural football player who I'd take on my team anytime.

QB...Greg McElroy. I buy-in to the Garrett comparisons and don't want to pick a QB early
RB...Taiwan Jones. I think his upside is Chris Johnson but acknowledge his downside is a full-body cast. I want a Felix Jones to back up Felix Jones.
FB...Henry Hynoski.
WR...Ricardo Lockette. Too fast to ignore late.
TE...Julius Thomas. Basketball player-turned-one-year WR-turned NFL TE project with passion and a 35 Wonderlic brain. Steal of draft if he makes it to 5th.
OT...Tyron Smith. He is the guy I think we will take.
OG...John Moffitt. Wisconsin guards just feel like locks.
C...Wisniewski. Because Carpenter was the exception to the rule.
DE...J.J. Watt. This is a football player
NT...Kenrick Ellis. I believe taking a chance on character at this position starting at Rd 3.
OLB....Aldon Smith.
ILB...Gerald Munns. Recommend an UDFA flyer on this smart, good-sized Sun Devil. No shame losing a job to Vontez Burfict.
CB...Patrick Peterson. Money pick. I'm gonna be pissed when we miss out.
SS...Ahmad Black.
FS...Aaron Williams.

QB... Ryan Mallett (2nd rounder down)
RB... Mark Ingram
FB... Henry Hynoski
WR... AJ Green
TE... Not drafting one at all is my favorite
OT... Anthony Constanzo
OG... Marcus Cannon
C... Pouncey

DE... Marcell Dareus (3-4)
NT... Marcell Dareus (3-4)
OLB... Robert Quinn (3-4)
ILB... Martez Wilson
CB... Patrick Peterson
SS... Deunta Williams
FS... Aaron Williams

QB-Ryan Mallett: Don't feel too strong about any of them, but Mallett has the talent and experience to succeed.
RB- Mark Ingram: Love the way he runs. Great balance and vision
FB/TE-Charles Clay: An actual pass catching threat at FB/H-Back
WR-Torrey Smith: Watched him at Maryland, doesn't seem anything like Heyward-Bey. Good player, good person, and hard worker, not just a physical freak.
T-Derek Sherrod: The more I see him, the more I am confused as to why he is a late first rounder while Tyron Smith, Anthony Castonzo, Gabe Carimi, and Nate Solder get much better grades. He could play either tackle and do it well from the start. He showed how good a player he is playing consistently well in the SEC.
G/C-Rodney Hudson: No one seems to mention him as a 2nd or 3rd round option at guard or center. I understand he is small, but he has produced on the field and doesn't seem to have any of the strength issues you would expect out of a smaller lineman. I wouldn't mind him at all in the 2nd and love him in the 3rd. I'd rather have him than guys like Cannon or Wisniewski.
DE-JJ Watt: Tough and versatile. Got to love anyone with a motor like his, and the combine seemed to show his athletic ability matches his effort and production.
DT-Nick Fairley: A DE in our scheme. Maybe he isn't perfect for the 3-4, but he was too good this past year to pass up. I love Marcell Dareus too, but Fairley seemed to be a much better player this past year. I understand he is a one year wonder, but I don't think any defensive player was better last year.
OLB-Von Miller: Dominant pass rusher two years straight. Maybe he is just a pass rusher, but even so he could be a great one.
MLB-Alex Wujciak: Maybe just an average athlete, but a big time tackler with the size to play inside in the 3-4. He will probably be around in the last couple rounds too.
CB-Patrick Peterson: huge, physical, fast cornerback with too much talent to pass up.
FS-Rahim Moore: Don't love him and probably wouldn't take him at 40, but I do like him better than Aaron Williams.
SS-Ahmad Black: I understand he is small and apparently pretty slow too, but I haven't heard anything bad about him as a player.

QB...Colin Kaepernick - big arm, amazing ball velocity, elusive, smart
RB...Ryan Williams - ridiculous lateral quickness, runs low, doesn't take unnecessary contact
FB...Henry Hynoski - an NFL fullback playing in college
WR...AJ Green - hamstrung by poor QB play, athletic, great hands, fast, strong
TE...nope
OT...Gabe Carimi - most complete tackle available, no need to worry about "potential", ready to start day 1 and could dominate day 1
OG...Mike Pouncey - as a guard, could end up being amazing...like his potential
C...Stefen Wisniewski - can play either G or C...like him as a C. Smart, strong, stout.

DE...Robert Quinn - could technically fit in the OLB spot...DeMarcus Ware 2.0 in the making
NT...Stephen Paea - strongest man in the draft
OLB...Von Miller - like his surge, but unsure of whether his ceiling has already been hit...still best prospect.
ILB...Martez Wilson - Bradie James 2.0 with better wheels
CB...Ras-I Dowling - highest ceiling of all the CBs, in my opinion.
SS...Deunta Williams - ready to start day 1. Injury concerns will land some team a steal in this draft.
FS...Rahim Moore - ball hawk, never lets the play get behind him. not a good wrap up tackler, but not afraid to hit the big guys.
