What position has the biggest chance for a Lamb type slide to 26? Gotta be Edge for me.

Anderson
Wilson
N. Smith
Murphy
Van Ness
McDonald

That's 6 legit 1st round edge rushers. Here's how many Edge rushers went before pick 26 the last 3 drafts:

2022 - 3
2021 - 3
2020 - 2

I'm feeling really confident that 1 if not 2 of these guys will be available when we pick.
I would think ALL positions to slide to 26 !! lol j/k

I hear we luv Van Ness. Mike McCarthy is loving his size. I guess it gives us a Bosa type guy at edge. Not a sexy name at 26 but I can see it.

Would be an awesome pick. Dude was built
in a lab to play DE. Already a fairly skilled player just needs some technique work and refinement.

DQ would love. it.

A 4.58 40 at 270 lbs is pretty sexy to me.

LVN's got the speed to go around any tackle in the league, then he can convert it to power and go through nearly any tackle in the league. He's got the potential to be unblockable IMO. Sky is the limit.

I agree. Im not seeing it with Will McDonald btw. He isnt an every down guy. I like him but I can see him getting washed out on running downs which is a big issue and hurts us. I rather get that big DE that can hold the edge. What are your thoughts?

I agree 1000% I don't get all the hate this kid gets on the Dallas radio shows and the DC.cm draft shows. He's a steady guy and just gets it done. Hes being called a bust already.

Man I love McDonald too. He’s not going to give you the day 1 run D LVN does but his burst / bend is with the best of them in this class. Likely a better day 1 pass rusher than LVN.

He’ll need to bulk up a little bit he’s got super long arms which will help him disengage from blocks in the run game as he develops there.

Mike McCarthy at his draft presser said they wanna get bigger in the trenches on the defensive side of the ball. If we believe that, then the Math says Van Ness and Murphy might be in play at 26. He wants big, physical dudes.

It reminds me of Texans fans booing the JJ Watt pick. Huge white Wisconsin DE = low ceiling run stopper! But he had far more potential than that.

LVN's tape is nowhere near Watt's - to be frank, it's not really that good. You're drafting the tools, and they are off the planet.

They asked him to do limited things I think. I think he will be a much better NFL guy than college. DQ will luv him. Dallas might be the perfect place for him. He can play some DT as well.

Could be. Some other names to watch would be Hall and Anudike who are violent and heavy handed dudes I really like…just not as highly rated but great players.

Yeah, Edge and CB just have more numbers...teams may feel they can wait in some cases. Brian Branch may be staring at the Cowboys at 26 and he's a Slot CB/S.
McDonald, Porter Jr., Sanders or Branch...Defense should be in play .
McDonald would be scary with Parsons.

Porter Jr, Forbes, both are becoming my favorite dream picks. Both would be legit day one starters opposite of Diggs. (Also Gilmore is only on a one year deal, Diggs contract is up next year, jourdan lewis is a slot guy, and bossman fat is in the studio mixing his next record). I love Ringo also but in the 2nd.

Drew Sanders being a Denton native and Arkansas Alum is probably Jerry's Pet Cat.

Branch would be fun because he's legit the only true good safety in this draft and I've always wanted safety and we never draft safety. I think Branch will be off the board but people always undervalue safety.

I’d definitely go Van Ness or McDonald over either of the G’s or TE’s or Gibbs. Lots of depth at RB and TE in this draft and we can address with a later pick. Edge rushers don’t grow on trees.

Agree, but I’d add there’s also a lot of depth at DE.

If for whatever reason we got another direction at 26 I think there’s a good chance Hall / Anudike / Young could be there at 58.

Just have to lean on the premium position in the 1st.

The positions Dallas wants have lots of depth where good players will be available in later rounds.
A lot of the guys being discussed at 26 seem like reaches.

I hope this plays out one of two ways:
- Someone unexpected drops and Dallas snags them, regardless of need
- Dallas trades back.

I think 4 corners go before 26, maybe 5.

The best or 2nd best TE will be there I think, same with OG. Branch might be there.
