Yup. That's the thing, I like both. All too often here on this site others want you to polarize and say you hate one player because you like another.I'd keep both if I were in charge

I'd really like the season to play out in order to see the lay of the land so to speak. Jarwin can run other routes. Shultz and Jarwin can compliment each other and we will be fine. The seam route is just one route a TE runs, and I don't think it's used more than a few times a game. Shultz does every other route better.
Inconsistent how? Playing 2nd string? Come on child, wake up.
I was the opposite. I was all on board when we first drafted him, but lost my enthusiasm as time went on.When they drafted Shultz I did not think he would be an instant starter But I did think he could become one. And he is our best all round TE
It appears everyone did.Day late, but whatever. Saw this article just now on our TE situation.

The stat that stood out to me was that Jarwin's best season 2019 was only 365yds & 3 TDs. I thought he had a lot more yards than that.
I think the combo of Darwin, Schultz and Sprinkle should combine to make a pretty solid TE corps.
I'm also wondering what Artayvious Lynn has to offer. He was a good blocker for TCU at 6'6", 260.
Schultz wasn't really given the chance to emerge and show what he can be at best.
Really Didn't help matters that the Witten/Garrett fiasco utterly slowed any chance of progress he could make.
- By being so limited, so less reps and seemingly phased out by having other guys in front of him, i believe his self-confidence really deemed to a new low.
including shaky drop passes hands.
- With a new HC that finally sent Witten on a his way in a different direction, and Jarwin unfortunate ACL injury
that gave Schultz his big chance to show what he can do.
- Where would Schultz be right now if Witten and Garrett where still here ?
He’s great injury insurance for Jarwin who not only will we see if he’s anything close to his previous playing form, but there’s already been instances where he’s either missed time
or very limited by injury.
- I found it ironic that vet Blake Bell a blocking TE, signed for 1 year and returned right back to where he departed in FA, ..to KC Chiefs.
But we’ve found another blocking role TE to compete with McKeon.
- However I do believe we won’t re-sign Schultz when he becomes a FA, because i expect some NFL team to overpay for his services based off 2020 performance.
And why would we be investing & committing more money in two TEs ?
I see us keeping four TEs again.
1) Jarwin
2) Schultz
3) Sprinkles
4) McKeon
I liked Blake Bell, he was tough and versatile.
But MM had no clue how to use him.
For some odd reason, a large number of posters only see the value of downfield plays. And yet, one reason KC lost the super bowl was due to the inability to move the chains, to make some positive plays when protection broke down. You need your short stuff guys just as badly as the long stuff guys.Schultz did well with how many QB’s last year? He reminds me a lot of Chris Cooley.
Schultz is back on my radar. He got almost twice as many yards as Jarwin with the same 3 TDs & I don't think it was all against NY.Schultz did well with how many QB’s last year? He reminds me a lot of Chris Cooley.
Blake was a blocking specialist- he was basically another version of James Hanna. He wasn't gonna be much of a factor in pass game.
Its the same with his continuing role in KC Chiefs ..
