Positive Nugget on Tet

I think I like Tee Higgins comp better than Drake London. 4.54 at his pro day so likely a little slower than that but elite length, catch radius and ball skills.

Mykell?

I’m a big fan but you called taking Tet a reach and he’s a higher ranked player. Taking him over Tet is the definition of a reach.
According to who? I’ve seen Tet anywhere from 6 - 18th best player. He’s not in a static position as say Graham, Carter or Hunter. As of late, there has been talk that he might or even be WR1 in this draft.

If he was what you say he is, there is no way he slips past Vegas.

The consensus big board aggregates data from multiple big board sites and creates their big board based on the average rankings.

Tet is 7th and Mykell is 13th.

He might not be available when we pick but if he is I highly doubt there will
be a higher rated player available.

McMillian's catch radius is absurd and when he is covered, he still has the advantage. He is a bad throw catcher...and Dak can use some of that! He will face a ton of 1on1 if drafted by the Cowboys and where we had a real hard time was in the redzone and McMillian will give us an advantage there. He can play in the slot as well as outside. A quarter of his snaps in college were in the slot.
It's well known that he's not a burner, but some are underestimating his ability when it comes to finding the soft spot in the zone and running after the catch. He is more than a sideline threat; he is good at crossing over the middle too and navigating to find an open space when his QB is scrambling. The thing is he's only going to get stronger and become a better route runner.
Didn't know that nugget about him playing slot. Thanks for the info

That's a good comp.

Imagine the year Ceedee would have with a Tee Higgins-type player in this offense.

Tet's size can create other problems for the defense besides his catching ability...he's a solid run blocker, but imagine him in the slot with CeeDee stacked behind him. Makes it difficult for a CB to get around Tet and then be trailing CeeDee.

I agree, I like NFL.com better and they currently have McMillan ranked 21.

I looked up the first round consensus big board for last year and compared it to NFL.com and where the players were actually picked.

JC Latham NFL 9 Consensus 45 actual pick 7

Cooper DeJean NFL 37 Consensus 19 actual pick 40

Johnny Newton NFL 36 Consensus 22 actual pick 36

Jackson Powers-Johnson NFL 34 Consensus 27 actual pick 44

I’d argue Dejean, Newton and JPJ significantly outplayed the NFL rating…by a mile.

In college!
Most aren’t going to be 4-6” shorter in the NFL and are going to be much better than what he faced in college.
Regardless, it’s not worth the chance at 12!
Yeah !!! Doesn't everyone know that a 5'11" CB in the NFL is taller than a 5'11" CB in college ?

What you really mean to say is you feel they played better than where they were drafted. The NFL rank was closer to where they were actually drafted. For example the Consensus was closer on McConkey who they ranked 30 and he was drafted at 34 NFL had him ranked at 25 so the consensus was closer but he had over 1000 yards receiving for the Chargers more than Harrison and more than Odunze.

Braden Fiske had a great rookie season and drafted in round 2
consensus 39 NFL 42 actual draft 46

It wasn't with McConkey and Fiske or Byron Murphy III for that matter. It would be very hard to quantify especially with just one season. I'm saying that Lance was better at picking where a player would be drafted. In other words how the 32 NFL teams felt about a player.

With McMillan there are four possible outcomes.
He gets picked at 8 and has 800-1000 yards in his first year
He gets picked at 8 and doesn't even get 800 yards
He gets picked at 21 and has over 800-1000 yards
He gets picked as 21 and doesn't get 800 yards

Lance will probably update his rankings and so will the consensus board but for right now he thinks 21 +/- is about right and how he does could go either way.
