1. I'd put top effort into signing a quality FG kicker. Football is a game of momentum and clearly a game of inches. You just can't give up 3-6 points a game on missing FGs or not having the confidence to kick them because you have no faith in your FG kicker.

Imagine for a moment if Sushi had made the initial FG attempt. And then made the 2nd attempt. It would have been a one possession game going into the half most likely.

2. I really like how our defense has been developing, esp the 2nd half of this season. That said, I think we really need some improved play at the Safety position in terms of making plays. The good news is that guys like V Butler, J Williams, and B Williams should start making an impact for us in 2010 at the LB position.

3. The OL needs an upgrade. I believe that Free can be a player for us. But we really need another OT, IMO, as well as an interior OL. For me, this would be a priority in the Draft/FA.

4. As for our WR, if RW comes around, we're fine. But I still would like for us to look at another WR who adds a speed dimension.

All in all, I think we made progress this season. I really think we have something to build off. But end of the day, our OL needs an upgrade, and we seriously have to find a FG kicker.

A few tweaks here and there, we'll a top contender heading into next season.

If we get a 2nd rounder for him were good.

We really aren't that far off.

I'm sure JJ can figure out a way to get a FG kicker for next season, as well as pick up a couple OL via the draft and FA and one more WR.

LMAO. Roy wouldn't even be had for 2nd rounder in MADDEN. Give me a break. Nobody wants this bust. But hey, he's a good blocker?

No we are not, O-line and Kicker = Dynasty, but we must do it this year.

Free isn't an answer at either LT or RT IMO. He was beaten like a drum today.

He should be able to compete at least for the RT job. So Free isn't the answer at LT when the guy has been practicing at RT the entire year, gets thrown into the wolves in a hostile environment against one of the best DE's in the game? Come on now.

And we're really good if we can get three 1st-rounders, Larry Fitzgerald and Ed Reed for him. If you're going to fantasize, go big!

He was the swing tackle so he practiced at both positions all year until Columbo went down.

I agree that placekicker is a major priority....that was our biggest achilles heel all year.

i have been supporting our O-line all year, but especially today it was exposed as a big weakness. now i don't know if it has to do with Flo going down (although Free did a good job), or if Columbo still isn't 100%, but something was seriously wrong out there today.

the safety position has been a question mark for me all year b/c sometimes Hamlin and Sensi play well, other times they really struggle. i still think Hamlin needs to be replaced just b/c he doesn't IMO do enough to earn his $$.

WR position needs a change, and it really for me is just RW11. Austin is our #1, plain & simple. i think Ogletree will turn into a solid receiver for us by next year, probably as a slot guy. I think we need a big, strong WR to help balance it out. most of the year we were too dependent on Witten being the main guy to do short yardage and then going deep all the other times.

i think speed at ILB is also a need. maybe Jason Williams helps with that. it's hard for me to harp on this position b/c James & Brooking were solid, but when we had an ILB covering a back it was bad news.

lastly is just more depth at CB. we were extremely lucky to not have long-term injuries this year at that position.

I have a really positive feeling going forward to. I think we are are very good at every skill position except offensive tackle.

I kind of feel like we have now lost 2 divisional playoff games directly because of our offensive lines, particularly our tackles inability to hold their ground in the passing game.

I really really like this team going forward. Wade has a good thing going.

A solid offseason with this team and hopefully some more good young talent in the draft really has me positive.

Today sucked. Romo had zero opportunity to do anything. That is the area this team needs to really attack this offseason. We have seen this front office clean up other deficient areas in the past couple of seasons.

As for childress, I have never had any respect for him and dont understand why he is so highly talked about.

I lost all respect for Brett Favre today, I have always liked him and thought he was good for the league, but him and childress and bevel doing that at the end for individual statistics and records is nonsense. Karma is a real pain in the butt.

anyway, I fet sucker punched in the first half but now I am ready to move on to next year. I like wade and this staff and this roster going forward. The idea that jason williams will become a factor in the future and hodge and brandon williams plus ogletree through an entire offseason really excites me.

I know its hard for everyone today, but I think the arrow is pointed straight up and right now I am more ticked off with favre doing what he did at the end than the team losing. the vikings were better today, congrats to them, but like laufneberg said on the broadcast they tainted the victory and made themselves look bad running it up like that.

That is their problem now, they had better blow everyone out now.

Another thing to look at is what to do at the running back position. Does Barber start, is he even with the team next year. What to do with Choice. I would love to see Choice be more involved in this offense next year and not just a decoy or running out of the wildcat.

Childress is a joke to me. He better be thankful everyday Favre came out of 'retirement'. I did notice that we play them again next year in Minny and he better hope Favre returns next year because I know the Cowboys have probably got that game circled on their calendar. It sort of reminds me of the 85 Bears when they were humiliated by the 49ers in the NFC Championship game in 84 when Walsh put in a lineman(can't think of the player) to run the ball when it was like 23-0 in the 4th quarter. Ditka and the Bears remembered this and used it as motivation when they played the Niners again the next season in a regular season game by putting in the Refridgerator when they were up a lot in that game.

Cowboys will find a new kicker for sure. May even draft one.

This team's OL isn't garbage but it also isn't good enough to win a SB title. I expect to see Kosier replaced either by Brewster or a draftee. We have to be able to run on 3rd and 1. That must be fixed.

The margin in this game wasn't as bad as the score indicated. With Flo in the game we were driving but not finishing. Glad the Vikes ran it up at the end to give us more fire. We can use that in the off-season to work even harder.

This team is close.

tell me your kidding he filled in admirably while Columbo was hurt. I mean he's not a true RT but he still showed he has ability

Barber is starting to be a give up play way too much. You can't throw a swing out pass to a back that takes as long as Barber to get going. He only has good speed when going forward and takes too long to get to speed this season for some reason. He's becoming a major liability in our run game.

I'm not as concerned about the offensive line as I am about the kicking game. Two missed field goals is a touchdown's worth of points. It might not have made a difference here but in other games down the road it could come to bite us.
