First, I want to say great season to everyone here. I know we had higher hopes for our team, but if you had told most people that we'd finish the year 13-3, win the NFC East, AND host a playoff game, they would have told you that you were absolutely out of your mind. I know we're all fans of a proud team, with a rich tradition. So, we measure success in championships, not in regular season wins, but I think we should be proud of what our beloved Cowboys accomplished this season.

Secondly, as someone who has vowed not to buy a TO jersey, tonight changed my perception of the man and before next year starts I will have one. Did you see his post game press conference? The man seems to have grown up. I know he's made steps this whole season, but tonight when he told everyone that it was unfair to blame Romo, who was HIS teammate and HIS quarterback, because they lost as a TEAM. TO shows heart not just by playing hard, but he also showed me his heart is in the right place.

For the last two years I've said Barber shouldn't be the starter, for this team. I was on the JJ bandwagon still hoping he would regain the form that got us all excited as a rookie. I guess it was just wishful thinking. Well, I guess I take it back that Barber shouldn't start because he should. BUT, I'm sticking with my belief that Barber cannot carry the whole load. MB3 looked tired in the 2nd half. Imagine if he had a whole season of that. Dallas needs to find a new RB in the offseason. We need someone who can play effectively and allow Barber to get some rest so he can be productive late in games. I do NOT want JJ back in a Cowboys uniform again. I will gladly retire my JJ jersey if it means we have a running back that has some worth to the offense.

I think the OL looked terrible today. False starts and allowing Romo to get repeatedly hit was unacceptable. Also, receivers missing wide open passes shouldn't happen in the NFL. I blame the loss solely on those two things. Whoever blames the defense is unrealistic and probably didn't pay attention to how bad the offense was. If you had told me on Sunday morning that Dallas would hold the Giants to 21 points, I would tell you to chalk up a win. We scored 76 points against them in two games this year. The offense just made critical mistakes in crucial situations. There's no other reason we lost. The Giants played solid, but Dallas beat themselves.

Romo didn't play bad at all. He looked to lose his composure for a little while, but I can't blame him. His teammates didn't execute for many parts of the game. I think sometimes he tries a little too hard to make things happen and ends up getting sacked instead of just throwing the football away, but if we praise him for his improvisational skills when they work, we need to take the bad when they fail.

Personally, losing to the Giants hurts me the most. If we had lost to another team, I still would have been angry and flipped out, but losing to the Giants kills me. I live 15 minutes from Giants Stadium. Bergen County, NJ is Giants Country. I have to live with those arrogant and mostly fair weather fans all year long. I had when we lose a regular season game to the Giants, but this playoff actually hurt.

I want to end on a positive note, so here it goes: Congratulations guys and gals on a great season. This year was just another building block on our way to #6. Just think, on February 4th, everyone is 0-0 again. Here's to the right moves in the offseason, months of great chats with fellow fans, and a Super Bowl Championship next season!

I'll second this post. I live in the next town over here in Joisey. With Giant fans everywhere.

Time to look back and address some needs in the draft and in a limited FA basis. We have most of the parts in place.

We played well this year. Also a little rust showed yesterday.
Hopefully a dog fight in the NFC east will go till the end of the year and we will have played hard all the time.

I think Wade has to pay for this loss.

Nah, you just need to lose the Jacques Reeves signature pic. That in itself is a curse! The guy got smoked by a rookie WR and doofus Eli all game long.

Time for an upgrade.

Good post!

While I'm not going to deny that I am disappointed, I am still pretty satisfied with the season and the end result. I didn't expect this team to get to the Championship game because I felt that they lacked the maturity and hunger to get past the first round.

I mentioned it after the Washington game that this team lacked true focus and maturity. They know what they want but they do not know what it takes to get there. Maybe now, after two early exists from the playoffs, they can truly understand the sacrifice that it takes to get to the Super Bowl.

NE has shown them the blueprint. Identify the weaknesses and make every effort possible to strengthen them. Be relentless in your pursuit of perfection and never let up. Trust in your teammates and play for each other.

I said at the start of the season that this team was still a year away. I feel stronger about that today. We all know what Dallas needs to do to improve offensively and defensively. Get er done, Jerry.

Maybe until we get someone in there who can prepare his team instead of act like everything is rosy since we were 13-3. Yeah, they had a great first three months of the season. But down the stretch and in crunch time they made the same mistakes over and over and all we heard from our fearless leader was 13-3. Pathetic.

Quoted for truth.

Honestly, for anyone to still be schilling for Jacques Reeves or sporting a picture of him in his signature should be embarrassed.

So would you fire Wade if you were Jerry?

Echoing that accomplishes what exactly? Trust me I understand. For years I muttered "any of 500 guys can coach this team." Put it in a sig line and get back to posting. You're better than repeating the same tired line in every positive spin on it thread.

What does posting anything on this, or any board on the internet, accomplish?

That's pretty much the way I feel.

I kept my mouth shut about the way Wade shrugs off every concern or mistake because I wanted to give him and the team the benefit of the doubt and see how they did in a playoff game.

I was concerned about the penalties since September. It continued all season and became a critical factor in the loss last night. Dropped passes, same thing. Pass coverage, same thing. Missed tackles, same thing.

None of this was corrected as the season progressed. When I watched this team, I saw a team that played sloppy and undisciplined most of the year. They had some great moments and played lights out offensively at times. But it seems that the problems that were eating away under the surface were never really addressed.

All we heard was the coach reciting the team's won-loss record each week.

Bach This message is hidden because Bach is on your ignore list.

Although I don't post often I've had that guy on the ignore list for awhile, I really can't stand anything he has to say :)
