STOP IT, STOP IT, STOP IT!!! This is the problem with this fanbase and why things will never change. No matter how much this franchise screws up people always want to look on the bright side of things. There was nothing positive to gain from this season and there's no reason to believe that things will change in the future. How many times do you have to keep lying to yourself before you see the truth?
Then what happened? This is exactly what some fans said after we went 4-12 in 2015. We went 13-3 the next year.

Yes, the Giants kicking our sorry ***** was a huge positive. It showed just how fricking heartless and gutless this team is. Everyone for man knew what this game meant and the team as a whole **** the bed. It starts with MM and it ends with MM, he did a terrible job getting this team ready. What the hell, did they runout of watermelons for MM to beat on before they took the field???????Besides the obvious in the top 10 selection in each round and possibility to trade down in round 1, there are two other things that definitely benefit us in this loss going forward.
I made one of these threads when we lost and got the pick over Philly which turned into Lamb, firing Garrett, and Eagles not having Lamb cause he definitely woulda gone there. I’ll be a bit more preemptive with this one.
Other than top 10:
1. Nolan will be fired. In those last three games the defense looked like it was not only on the upswing but it was schematically gelling.
If the Joneses fell for that facade over the rest of the season like some here were beginning to, we would be in grave danger of wasting next season defensively.
2. Prospects available in the draft. This works in our favor twofold. In terms of us, the prospects available that we want will be there in the 8-12 range. We have a solid shot at trading back and getting another 2nd if a QB run happens.
Conversely, the prospects available for the NYG and WFT are no longer game changers. The Giants would’ve been guaranteed Davante Smith or Jamarr Chase if they lost and picked 7th. But winning gives them a pick after a few WR needy teams and makes it unlikely they get these generational talents.
If WFT takes care of business, they’ll pick at 19. That’s too late for them to pick a QB and trading up from down there to the top 7 requires a lot of ammo. The last thing we need is for those guys to get a real QB. Let them overspend in FA or sell picks for a vet (hopefully not Stafford) and waste the prime of that young defense. They’ll never be able to pick in the top 10 with that defense and Alex Smith being able to get them to 7-9 wins when healthy.
3. I know we beat 3 bad teams, but all the “momentum” and “fighting culture” we created during those three games magically disappears because we couldn’t win 4 games in a row?
We lost a close game to a division rival, wasn’t a blow out. And it’s hard to win 4 in a row in the NFL, this doesn’t mean we didn’t get anything positive in morale from winning those 3.
There are some real positives from losing this one outside of just the 8-10 pick. We’ll be fine.
*Que the overreaction about how an injury riddled 6-10 team couldn’t go 7-9 and get slaughtered in the playoffs by Tom Brady.

No need to feel sorry for this team.Show me. Don’t tell me. This team has done nothing to earn the benefit of the doubt. 25 + years and counting of playoff frustration, incompetence, and under-achievement.
I will always be a fan— and will always hope they stand and deliver— but we have sunk to a new low in Dallas history.
Yes— we will draft in the top 10. Where all the bad teams go fo find comfort and hope lol...

There's no vaccine in the world that's going to fix this organization.
