Doesn't look much different than the team that went to Minnesota and got embarrassed to me so far. Just a continuation of that right now. Some weird funk.

We are not as good as some on here thought we would be after picking up Dez, lol thats for sure, but we are a whole lot better than was shown last night.

can we let the team play a regular season or two before we decide how good they are?

We are better than 23-7. I also think we are better than the Texans talent wise. And we did play good football before the Saints game. It’s preseason. Not easy to evaluate a team as a fan. Nobody can do it.

Interesting. How good are they then? What's their record in 2010? Read the "tendencies" and wow me with the sheer science.

Are you kidding me??? We haven't even won a game yet!! Right now we are on pace to match the Lions with zero wins.

;)

I'm not worried about the defense, but our execution on the offensive side of the ball has been atrocious so far. Absolutely atrocious and that has nothing to do with gameplanning or being vanilla.

Will we get it fixed? I think so, we always start the season well.

But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly concerned with our offense.

Actually, that is more valid than the rest of this hand wringing. At least it is true.

Defense should be fine. But our offense sure is in a funk and can't seem to pass or run block. I don't want to jump the gun and say we are overrated, but maybe we didn't deserve all the superbowl praise we were getting coming into the season. Our last game last year was an embarassment. Yeah, we beat the eagles twice in a row but maybe they weren't as good as everyone thought and we just matched up with them really well.

We lost to the packers, chargers, and the giants twice. If i recall, the only 2 teams we beat with a winning record were the saints and the eagles

I'm starting to get an early 1980's vibe from this team, i.e. good, but not good enough. Of course, that's been the case for the last several years.

We are as good "as we think we are"......

The Cowboys just are not or cannot be as consistent as they should be considering the talent under lock & key.....

Randy White says what drove him is the fear of failure..........Dont think the current version of JJ Teams have the same fear up and down the lineup and that is what i think limits their consistency.

Yeah, but they were not really that good. We just did not play well against other good teams, besides the eagles. Our offense could do NOTHING against the packers. Didn't do a whole lot against the chargers either. And at the beginning of the year when the broncos were a good team our offense did NOTHING against them as well.

I don't know. To me it just seems like our offense struggles to perform against other good teams. And our defense is not quite good enough to win games for us. They folded at the end of the game against the broncos and chargers, but in their defense ware went down against the chargers.

You can't beat good teams when you are not disciplined. Penalties and turnovers cannot be committed against other good teams. That is our main problem. We make too many self inflicted mistakes to beat teams that are on our same level. We can't overcome those mistakes like we do against bad teams. Against the saints we did not make those stupid mistakes and won the game.

I will be concerned if they continue to play this way when the games actually matter. Until then, I'll sit back and have a nice glass of iced tea while I watch the deer cut across my lawn.

Believe.

The Eagles only lost 6 games all year counting the post season. 3 of their 6 losses, half of them were to the Cowboys. When Dallas faced them in the week 17 finale they were the hottest team in the NFL. They had won 6 straight.

There was no way Dallas could sweep them for the season, but they did. There was no way they'd beat them 3 straight times, but they did.

I think we were every bit as good as everyone thought and simply met a better team at their house when they were fired up.
