Possibilty we aren't as good

The defense will be that good.
I'd love to agree, but I just don't see it with possibly one of the worst OL's the NFC has to offer. I really feel for Romo, he's going to get all the flak for his "poor play" this year, but in reality it will mostly be out of his hands. No QB can play at an elite level with the kinds of hits he's going to take this year.

I think we are as good or better than we were last year. But ultimately I think our line is going to derail our season. Say in the divisional round again.

Honestly, I don't think that we are. Aside from Bryant (whom the jury is still out on being a rookie), what did we do to improve the team this off-season?

We got better at nickle LB and I think Spencer is due for a big year. Him and Ware are going to propel this D to new heights and our O is good. It could be great.

This is a 9-7 team, it just is.
How much you willing to lay on that? Just me and you. 9-7 or worse, you win. 10-6 or better I win.

This is why we all have opinions...and we have improved and it's just plain stupid to judge off of preseason.

It's fine to have concern but all these low win predictions off of preseason is ridiculous.

If we are better than 9-7 I will personally provide you with a ticket to your game of choice next season.

Who said anything about pre-season? I think we over-achieved last season and weren't as good as our record indicated. I was calling us a 9-7 team before the draft even happened, the pre-season certainly hasn't helped any.

I think its way too early to really say what will happen this season. A football season develops in weird ways. Who would have thought this time last year that Miles Austin would become a household name? We have weapons to have big plays. Plenty of weapons.

The key to the season should be the ability of Garrett to adjust his formations, play calling, and personnel packages to the way the team is performing. I dont see our line having a problem with one on one blocking (at least when all starters are back). Its the blitzes that seem to cause us so much trouble. I think its mental errors on our line. However, there are things we can do to stop a team from sending so much pressure all the time. Its going to be up to the OC to call the plays and make the adjustments needed for us to score a lot of points. We have big play players. We have the personnel to make people pay for sending pressure. Romo, Felix, Miles, hopefully Dez, Witten, ect... We have playmakers. I like the way Garrett started to finally make some adjustments towards the end of last season that caused teams some fear of blitzing us.

It will be an interesting ride this year.

Our line isnt full of terrible bums. Its not like we have a bunch of guys that just cant block. They will be acceptable. The offense will get it together. We will be alright.

If you wanted to be optimistic (and it sounds like many people dont) you could look at the preseason offensive struggles as good for us. Its better to find out now and get a wake up call before the games start to count.

Man, how can i join this bet??? I would love some tickets!

Oooh fun. Let me play connect the dots.

Dallas a Super Bowl favorite got man handled by the Texans. Texans > Dallas. Texans were humiliated by the Saints. Saints > Texans. New England beat the Saints. Patriots > Saints. Rams beat the Saints. Rams > Saints.

I present to you the 2010 Super Bowl winning St. Louis Rams. This post brought to you by a fan who believes pre-season means something.

What do you want from me if I lose, because I will take that.

I hate to be the one to call you out on this. But here is one of your post from just after the draft.

We're ready to win the Super Bowl right now, Pouncey and Iupati likely wouldn't have seen much action unless someone went down with an injury. Dez Bryant can contribute from day one, and that's the kind of player we need right now.

It seems like you were feeling a little different on that day.
BTW... i will give you credit in that you have been pretty negative overall. You called Lee a bum right after the draft. But hey we all make mistakes.

Sorry....Did I just make it a little awkward in here? Opps.

You didn't make it awkward at all. The poster whom I was responding to said the following:

Which is why I wish we had gotten Pouncey or Iupati
To which I responded that this is a team that is ready to win a Super Bowl now, which is why they went after a player that could contribute from day one. I honestly believe that if they didn't feel that they are a contender right now, they would have gone in a different direction. Iupati and Pouncey are going to be good players, but they wouldn't have beat out Kosier, Davis, or Gurode (in Pouncey's case). Why would you draft a guy who won't contribute from day one if you really believe that you are a contender?

On paper this is one of the, if not the most talented team in the league. While I think that Wade is a great coach, I don't think that he's a Super Bowl caliber coach, I don't think that Garrett is a Super Bowl caliber OC, I don't think that we currently have a Super Bowl caliber OL.

I'm messing with you. I get a kick out of that. I am more positive overall than you are about this team. But I will give you credit. It wasnt as easy to find something positive you said in a past post as i thought it was going to be. Most people just post on emotion because of a few bad preseason games.

At least admit you were off base on Lee. You though he was going to be a bum.

First, it wasn't a question.

Second, really?
1) True
2) True, maybe, I don't know.

I just know some people it seemed thought Dez would solve all our problems and we were pretty much a show in for the SB from the NFC. Not everyone, not even the majority, but there were those. I think this pre-season has been a bit of a rude awakening to most here as far as we were not quiet as solid as we thought we were in the off season (me included), but I don't think there is really any question at all that we are a lot better than we have looked.

So no, this will not be an "easy" romp to the SB, it will be hard to get to the Superbowl, we are not head and shoulders above every team, there will be ways other teams can stop our offense (a sentiment that was question this off season) but we are solid and good and have a good chance of making it, if the chips fall right, injuries go away, and things click...we have the talent...I think. What a ramble.
