Possible Cuts: D. Wilson & M. Hooker

You mean they used the strong safety in the box while playing cover 3. That’s outrageous!!!
Wilson was a nickel corner his first 3 seasons in college. Just because they’ve primarily used him in run support doesn’t mean he can’t cover if they made that his primary responsibility.
They were ranked 5th in pass defense in 2023 with him playing strong safety after all.
Regardless, he is worth more in run support than the measly 3m savings they would get and I’d think the whole point is moot… if they were going to release him they’d at least given him the respect to do so before FA!

He has been a liability in coverage in the NFL, when kearse was here he was in coverage more than Wilson, Wilson is a 1 trick pony a heat seeking missile and last season he was not good at that.

When Hooker came to Dallas I was expecting a play making free safety in the picture big help on deep passes I haven’t seen anything close to it . Time to give Thomas a shot at the job and let Bell share time with Wilson .

It’s like CB I can’t figure out why Zimmer never played Mukuamu last season when Booth & Carson showed nothing . It’s time for Bell & Thomas to contribute.

I'd keep Dono but cut Hooker.

I'd cut "Dono" and keep Hooker. Wilson is already a step slow and had a tendency to overrun plays.

Hooker is a better mentor for some of the young safeties (Bell and Thomas) already on the team.

If cowboys were gonna cut either safety per Wilson or hooker..I'd thought they'd already be designated post June cuts so they could able to pursue other free.agency interests around the nfl.

Seems like they are bringing both starters back despite resigning both juanyeh Thomas & marquis bell..
