Gardner and continued growth of Crawford and hopefully Lawrence takes a second year leap.

If Lawrence can turn into an 8-10 sack guy next season, do we still need to sign a rusher in free agency?

And if we do, will he be a progress stopper for Lawrence?

And if Lawrence can be a 8-10 sack guy, can't we use the rusher money and use that on Demarco Murray?

Can any pass rusher in FA make us better than another great season from Murray?

Remember in our scheme, Marinneli wants DLine to get upfield, this encourages Olinemen to get into the LB'rs more than other schemes----we need enough players at LB for a rotation as they are required to take on more blockers than other schemes..........Was Bruce Carter not hustling many times or was he just gassed --some of each I'd venture to say, especially late in the G.Bay game.

They need to address major needs in free agency and go BPA in the draft.

Coleman has not been re-signed yet, IIRC.

Bishop and Brent also played a minimal about in 2014 but could be big contributors in 2015.

Only name that intrigues me there is Gardner.

He looked like a veteran NFL DE in college to me. Good size, exceptionally strong at the point of attack and has a strange knack for slipping past linemen and shedding blockers. He's incredibly aware as well, sniffing out screens and maintaining outside contain when necessary.

I think he'll be a very good player for us.

Eager to see what Marinelli can do with him.

Drafting a RB in the first round if Murray leaves would be a huge.... HUGE mistake.

You have to assume Demarcus Lawrence will be one of the players that'll help us improve.
Wouldn't hurt if Sean Lee actually returned healthy too.

And yes, some of those other rookies from last year should come up the learning curve.
FA upgrades and the draft better help as well.

Think McClain, Hitchens, Lee, Carter, Durant. I don't think you could get a better 5 rotation than that in the league. Durant was balling before his injury, Lee is without a doubt a top LB when healthy, McClain showed he can be a admirable MLB and Hitchens is only going to improve. As far as Carter goes, I think he will be fine once asked to fill one hole, instead of playing all LB positions. Which he has had to do since day 1 in Dallas.

Only Lee and Hitchens are under contract. I doubt all 3 of the free agent LB's are back.

Like Okoye and Gardner. Coleman just seemed to peak in preseason and then was a nonfactor early in the yr. Would rather see McClain backing up Crawford then Coleman. Hope Whaley can be something.
