Possible LB?... Lavar Arrington

Arrington has never played in a 3-4, and I don't think he's the fastest learner in the world, if you know what I mean. If he was on the Cowboys, he'd be an occasional pass rusher who only came in on 3rd and long, or hail mary situations.

Also, he seemed to be dogging it in several games early in the season for the Giants. May he wasn't motivated, maybe he wasn't all the way back from an injury. Then he seemed to be coming around, and he got hurt again.

I don't have anything against the guy personally, but I just don't see much of a role for him here in Dallas.
If he was used like Wade did with Merriman than he could succeed if healthy. Merriman was rarely in coverage and was rushing the passer from all over the field. (Which is what Arrington did best)

The discussion was whether he could play 3-4 or not. Grow up why don't you. And if Arrington had a choice between a paycheck or nothing, I think the guy would take the paycheck no matter how dumb he may be.

there's a reason his team mates call him CAN'T GET RIGHT. let him be some one else's head ache.

Never say never, especially in professional sports.

Not saying I want him here, but I won't be shocked if he did end up here.

I'm sorry if this has already been proposed but what would you guys think of bringing Lavar Arrington in to play OLB opposite Ware? It's a simular situation to Kevin Hardy a couple of years ago; a talented LB coming back from an injury. He could be fairly cheap so the risk would be low. Any thoughts?

No thanks. He never really amounted to much and he's not going to get any better than he is now. The blind leap over the line at the QB was never a popular fad.

Im with it if he's willing to come here and play. Cowboys do have a history of keeping injury plague players healthy for the whole season. Look at Terry Glenn and Marc Columbo for examples.

He's already said he hated Dallas and would never play here.

Not that we would want his sorry ***. He's arguably the biggest waste of physical talent of his generation.

Yes this TERRIBLE idea of him coming here has already been brought up and flamed to death.

I was 27 and ruptured my Achilles and I had Kaiser Permanente put me back together and take me through rehab. I'm sure professionals have the best equipment in the world but its a tough injury and 4 1/2 years later I still can't run and jump like I could before. I'm no pro athlete so my rehab wasn't as demanding but I believe Ellis would still be better at OLB than Lavar even though Arrington is younger, Ellis appears to be the harder working player of the two
