I don't see any of those guys as an upgrade over what is on the roster. Knowshon was legit in Denver and had won the job in Miami until his injury, but given that he is not physically ready there is no reason to look his way.

Jordan Todman - Carolina
George Winn - Detroit
Matthew Tucker - Philly
Kendall Hunter - San Fran
Anthony "Boobie" Dixon - Buffalo
Fitzgerald Toussaint - Baltimore

I think any of those guys are probably upgrades to Randal.

Ryan Williams doesn't seem to "get it" from what I'm hearing. Coaches like his effort, but I don't think they trust him.

Tucker is a big guy who can run. 6'0 220. 4.55
Dixon is even bigger at 6'1 233. 4.65
Toussaint is faster and stronger than Randal.
George Winn is the ideal size, 5'10 218. 4.69

Do you have any links to what you're hearing?

Moreno compared to these players, yes. Not a big fan of his either, but he was very good in the opener for Miami last year before getting hurt.

Ok, compared to the list, but he is made of glass. He makes Sean Lee look like Ironman!

It was someone on the Fan. Maybe Mickey or Broaddus. They said that he works hard, has running ability, nice guy, but the coaches just don't trust him in the offense. I don't know if that means he's just not a smart dude or what. Plus he doesn't play special teams.

That means they will be waiting until training camp until they realize they screwed up .

No, it means you'll be waiting until training camp. Nobody knows if they screwed up yet, not even you. They aren't waiting until training camp for any screw up because they have full faith in their plan.

Unless they have a bunch of RB's that can't see daylight then they didn't screw up.

If that is the case then that would be a huge oversight. I seriously doubt Will McClay would allow that to happen. In Will I trust.

I think the Broncos are an interesting team to look at for a cut/trade....CJ Anderson, Monte Ball, Ronnie Hillman, Juwuan Thompson. They can't keep all 4 and all are young and still cheap. I could see Ball being the odd guy out possibly, either him or Thompson. The Jets, Bills and Bucs are about the only other team's I can think of as trade partners/teams that will cut a decent RB. And I'd probably take a look at Chris Johnson as well, just to kick the tires and see what he has left.

Monte Ball/Thompson
Doug Martin
Bryce Brown
Ivory/Powell (whoever the Jets cut)
Chris Johnson

Looking through the current rosters, I see these RB's that might become available.

Jordan Todman - Baltimore
George Winn - Detroit
Matthew Tucker - Philly
Kendall Hunter - San Fran
Anthony "Boobie" Dixon - Buffalo
Fitzgerald Toussaint - Baltimore
Kerwynn Williams - Arizona
Rex Burkhead - Cincinnati
Jeremy Stewart - Denver

I think there are a couple guys on that list that could be an upgrade for us if they get cut.

It's worth looking into. Can't say I see a for sure upgrade though.

All those guys could be productive players in that offense but i'll pass. We're not gaining anything better then what we have.

They are just another team that has proven you can get a lot of productivity with mediocre runners.

Upgrade was probably the wrong term. A few of those guys I listed are bigger backs. Something we don't really have. McFadden isn't considered a power runner.

Randle and Williams are kinda the same guy. Not overly big, not overly fast, not overly powerful. Both have concerns regarding pass blocking. Neither seem too bright.

Williams has injury concerns. Randle has knucklehead concerns.

Williams doesn't play special teams. Randle at least does that.

If they like Randle better than Williams, then what? Randle still plays special teams while Williams sits on the bench as the third RB and does nothing?

I'd let Randle and Williams battle it out. I'd try to find a bigger, power back that can play special teams. Make him the third RB.

Branden Oliver is another name that could be available. But he's a smaller guy and may not offer much on special teams.

Anthony Dixon would be an upgrade for us. He's a big guy. Played quite a bit for Buffalo. Buffalo also now has Shady and just drafted Karlos Williams. And they still have Fred Jackson and Bryce Brown. I don't know who stays from that group. Not sure I'd be interested in Jackson. But either Dixon or Brown I'd pick up.

George Winn is a bigger guy - 218. Not real fast, but was very productive in college. I'd be interested in taking a look there.

Mike Gillislee, Damien Williams or LaMichael Jame could be available from Miami. They added Ajayi and have Lamar Miller. At least one of the aforementioned guys will be cut, if not two.

Matthew Tucker is a bigger guy as well. Has some speed.

I'm not considering any of these guys as lead backs. They're not. But they offering a little something different than Randle and Williams. And we don't really have a lead back ourselves. I think we are putting a lot of faith into McFaddens name. I just don't think he's all that. I hope I'm wrong. I hope he comes in here with a new attitude and tears it up. Randle and Williams, who knows. But they are for sure not top 15 RBs in this league. They may not even be top 32.

Personally if the price were right I keep McFadden and Ryan and replace Dunbar with Chris Johnson.
My only other concern is backup QB if Romo went down....no confidence in Weeden. I would be looking
for a veteran starter behind Romo.

wow, you really think what we have now is garbage.

Try to remember that it doesnt always have to be a stud, one back running game. The combination of all 3 backs could actually be more productive then Murray. Certainly give us more big plays. Here is one person that believes the average per rush will increase this year over last year.

Dont discount Randle. In my opinion he will get the most carries next season. He is the best all around back that we have. In my opinion.

Dunbar is a big play back. Personally, I was pissed he wasnt used more last year.
