So, I was chatting with a friend of mine who is a Ravens fan. He and I came up with a possible trade idea involving Lamb. I was wondering what you all would think?

So, as we were discussing what we thought of the NFL landscape, I mentioned that we probably aren't going to be able to keep Dak, Lamb, and Parsons. As far as I know, the Ravens have a solid amount of cap space. So, I mentioned that, especially with CeeDee holding out, there may be a way to trade him. So, what he and I thought of was this for a couple of scenarios for trading him to Baltimore. It should be noted that this would be a trade of him outside the conference, so it shouldn't cause too much harm to us (even though we do play Baltimore this year):

1. The Cowboys trade Lamb for a 1st and a 3rd. This gives the Cowboys a couple extra picks. The Ravens would have to resign him, but they should have the cap space to do that. Plus, Lamar would then have the options of throwing to Lamb, Flowers, Agholor, Bateman, or Mark Andrews with Derrick Henry out of the backfield. This gives them all the talent they should need to beat Kansas City. Meanwhile, the Cowboys would have an extra first to potentially draft a replacement for Lamb and an extra pick for whatever we want to do with it.
2. The Cowboys trade Lamb for a 1st and Rashod Bateman. Bateman is on the last year of his contract, but he'd be a nice addition in a combination with Cooks and Tolbert. Plus, he shouldn't be too much for the Cowboys to extend if he were to want to remain here. Or, if we let him walk, we would get a comp pick (likely a 3rd) when someone else resigns him. So, in essence, it'd be a 1st and a 3rd the following draft.

Either way, both options would benefit the Cowboys and the Ravens if the Cowboys and Ravens were to come to such an agreement. CeeDee Lamb is worth at least a first in a trade. They'd be able to resign him, and Lamar would probably push their FO to get Lamb. They'd have the talent to get past the Chiefs as they're much closer to a championship than we are. We would have an extra pick and maybe a player in return to help expedite our rebuild. In essence, since we would then have 2 first round picks (plus maybe an extra pick or player). Depending on what we do at QB, we would either have the opportunity to draft a QB (if we let Dak walk) and a WR, trade up for a top QB (if we let Dak walk), or (if Dak stays) draft an olineman and a WR.

Basically, since we draft well, the Cowboys would be able to rebuild more quickly (especially with our defence sounding good in TC), while the Ravens would be getting a piece they'd need. I think it's a win-win. Plus, it makes the Cowboys a more likely contender in the near future with the extra draft capital, which benefits what we do well.

losing Lamb will signify the begining of the remake . The cowboys will lose around 9 games this season without Lamb. The running game is stale , the QB is average and cannot win against good teams, and the competition in the division is up.
