on Sept 22,1970...Elvis held one of his shortest but successful recording sessions of his career....the brief follow-up to the brilliant Nashville Marathon in June...4 songs in total were recorded.
•Snowbird...a beautiful cover of Anne Murray's popular song....and the opening track on the brilliant album Elvis Country.
•Where Did They Go Lord...an excellent song...and one of his best vocal performances...this single sneaks into the top 40.
•Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On...brilliant cover of Jerry Lee's classic...Elvis revs his engines on one of the most rockin' tunes on the Elvis Country LP....a excellent recording...classic Elvis.
•Rags To Riches...b-side to Where Did They Go Lord and a song he had been wanting to record since the 50s...Elvis has full confidence in his vocals and this performance proves it was well placed.

Throughout history, people have gone to extreme measures to protest against things they disagree with. However, most wouldn’t consider David Phyall’s level of protest. The last hold out in a block of flats set to be demolished in Bishopstoke, England, he took his own head off with a chainsaw to protest the injustice of being forced to move out.-------------source 25 deaths that will leave you scratching your head.

In 1982, following a fine victory, England Rugby Union Prop Forward Colin Smart, spent the night in a Parisian Hospital having His stomach pumped, after drinking a bottle of aftershave at the Post Match Banquet.
Smart by name.....Rugby Player by nature.

That's mild in comparison with the outcome of a game of what rugby people call "chariots of fire" played by the Trinity College Dublin rugby team in the 90s.

Its a family site so will leave to the imagination what got burnt.
