QB (3)- Romo, Weeden, Vaughan. I know, I know. I just don't think they can sneak him to the PS.
RB( 3)- Muray, Dunbar, Williams- Light here to make up for the QB's. At the end of the day Randle is JAG. The fullbacks are not worth keeping. Will have to keep a RB on the PS just in case.
TE (3)- Witten, Escobar, Hanna- Same old, same old
WR (6)- DEz, TWill, Beaz, HArris, Street, Newsome- They will try to stash Boyd on the PS. Newsome is on the bubble but keeps showing up so for now he sticks
OL (8)- Tyron, Leary, Fred, MArtin, Free, Mack, Uche, Parnell. I hate keeping Parnell but he is at this point the best option as a swing tackle. Keeping only 8 is a huge plus.
DL (10)- Definitely going long here. Mincey, CRawford, Melton, McClain, Coleman, Minter, Bush, Selvie, Wilson, Bishop. Bush and Wilson keep the seats warm for Lawrence and Spencer who start the year on IR and PUP respectively.
LB (7)- McClain, Durant, Wilber, Carter, Lawrence, Hitchens, Holloman (if healthy)
CB (5)- Mo, Carr, Oscan, Moore, Mitchell, Webb- Webb may be only here for the first 4 weeks.
S (5) Church, JJ, Heath (boo), Hamilton, Dixon
ST (3)- Bailey, Jones, Frenchie

For the 1st 4 weeks, Oscan does not take up a roster spot. So, you can add another player.

Not a bad stab at the 53. I don't see Cameron Lawrence making the team. I think Will Smith makes it over him. And since Wilber can also play DE, I would suspect one less DL (Minter to the PS). CB Patmon might make the roster.

I'd say Minter's status is largely contingent on how he performs the next two weeks. If he shows more of what he showed yesterday no way we can stash him on PS.

Is there any chance we could keep four running backs? I mean I don't see it but is it impossible? Would like for Williams to stay on the team.

Agreed.

Even with a slightly less impressive showing vs Miami there's no way that Minter makes it to the practice squad. Bishop has a better chance.

atleast 3 guys on the OPs DL list are really replaceable,we should be watching other teams cuts.

I think Randle has looked more than JAG this offseason, think he deserves a shot again. Difficult to go 4 at RB though

With Murray and Dunbar it would be nice to be able to go 4 RB, but thats hardly a place to go deep on this team.

Lawrence is probably more of a sure thing than people want to admit. Just look at the starting special teams units for your answer.

2 QB: Romo, Weeden: just like Tanney, Vaughn will make it to PS

4 RB: Murray, Williams, Dunbar, & Randle: Need 4 incase the injury bites us again.

6 WR: Dez, Williams, Beasley, Street, Harris, Newsome: Newsome has made the team imo by his play this off season.

3 TE: Witten, Escobar, Hanna: if someone drops a quality blocker at TE I'd swap him for Hanna asap.

8 OL: Smith, Leary, Fred, Martin, Free, Bern, Uche, Parnell: would definitely look to upgrade the swing tackle if possible.

11 DL: Selvie, Crawford, Mincey, Lawrence, Melton, McClain, Coleman, Bishop, Minter, Bush, Wilson: Got to keep Lawrence on the 53.because otherwise he ineligible to return for a lot longer. If Spencer is activated Wilson would be gone. I see a trade or more pickups coming in the coming weeks.

6 LB: Durant, McClain, Carter, Hitchens, Holloman, Smith: I'll take Smith on the roster over Lawrence because Lawrence is too slow to compete.

5 CB: Carr, Claiborne, Moore, Mitchell, Patmon: Would not keep Webb if it were up to me, another 4th round bust.

5 S: Church, Wilcox, Hamilton, Dixon, Heath: The Matt Johnson ERA is over.

This is way too early, but funny nonetheless.

It is early and you do see the knee jerk reactions from one game.

Minter and Vaughan being two prime examples.

Both were exciting last night but I do not think they need to be factored in as sure things yet.

I still believe there are two or three roster spots that we could probably fill with better players at the final cuts if we do things right.

You mean haha funny?

Yea, because Minter has already unseated Hayden. He's only played one game with the Cowboys and we are ready to put him on the 53.

Minter got abused up and down on the 2nd half opening drive by the Ravens 2nd OL.

I'm all about getting rid of Hayden, but let's see what he can do in the following two games first.

Hayden is just one of those players that end up on a roster that fans cannot get why he keeps hanging around.

But let's but honest about him for a second. At what point did the staff decide he was no good? They didn't. And basically gave him next to no competition beyond 7th round/UDFA talent. This is not the first time it has happened.

I am not happy about it either, but I can at least acknowledge that they are not going to just cut someone they view as a starter. He is about as entrenched on the final roster as anyone.

I thought I saw #53 Lawrence get manhandled by a blocker and miss a tackle on a long KO return last night. Not the one for a TD. Cameron Lawrence ain't making this team if all he can do is play special teams. In my opinion.

I thought I also saw Webb and Church with horrible efforts on the TD return. Webb is afraid to tackle so no big surprise but #42 not getting off his block was a huge surprise.

Everything thing you said is right on.
