Releasing Dez created one more major hole that needs to be filled but I think if they draft the right players, we could see some major improvement.
1. Will Hernandez OG- I really wanted to go Defense early but this just makes too much sense. If there are issues in the passing game then the ability to run Zeke is going to be of the utmost importance. I know this is overkill on 1st rd picks on the OL but this is what is needed to give our offense a chance to control the games.
2. Christian Kirk WR - I know, I know. Top two picks used on offense. Not the way I want to go either but it is necessary and he could end up being a star receiver for us.
3. Jesse Bates III FS - Now we are getting somewhere. How much of a difference would it make if we had a legit FS? Now we do.
4. Kyzir White SS - Now the secondary is complete and they can grow together and mesh over the next few years.
4b. Micah Kiser LB - This is a long time to wait to get a LB but there were other needs. I do think there are some interesting players in the later rounds that could end up being effective LB's. Kiser I believe could play early on.
5. Deadrin Senat DT - We finally get the 1 Tech we have needed for so long. This could bring major improvement to our DL.
6. Troy Fumagalli TE - Late round TE that can be part of the solution post Witten. Could be in play even this year as a run blocking specialist.
6. DJ Reed CB - Competition with White for that last CB spot. Loser goes to the practice squad.
6. Christian Sam LB - Need another LB. Sam has some upside and would be a great catch down here.
7. Phillip Lindsay RB - A change of pace back to take advantage of our superior O-line. Would see the field as a rookie most likely.
This is a decent attempt to maximize one draft and try to improve the talent on the team in multiple areas. I ran it through Fanspeak.
