Post-Draft Free Agents?

It won't be just Biadasz going up against him. Davis will more than likely line up in the G/C gap. Right between Biadasz and our rookie. Or whoever is playing left guard. And he'll probably occupy both of them.
Yep I'm getting the feeling that our center that we should have upgraded in free agency and the college holding champion that we drafted are going to get abused by Jordan Davis I really hope I'm wrong but I got a bad feeling that we are going to be tortured by this guy for the next 10 years.

I went on record as saying we should have done anything we could to get him

lol acting like Jordan Davis is Aaron Donald. He’s a behemoth of a man who does nothing against the pass and clogs run lanes. His game isnt coming downfield and making plays.

Here's the sobering part. And this is just worse case scenario, because I don't know how good Davis will be. Even if he doesn't abuse them, he occupies them. He's a 1 tech our center can't handle by himself. That leaves 3 DL against 3 OL, send a 5th and he has a free run at the QB. Even if they don't send a 5th, Dak won't have much time. I'm oversimplifying it, but you get the point. Football is not only about matchups, but numbers.

Got to be better than what we have.

Jordan Davis is going to have Biadasz on his back.
This is not going to be pretty

Davis is not going to enjoy Zack Martin and Tyler Smith banging him around.

In college he eclipsed most OLine size/power and rarely exerted much effort.

Tyler Smith was the most powerful player in this draft and plays through the whistle.
- His lack of technique at LT against edge rushers won't be a problem against Davis who also doesn't really play with technique.

Biadasz just needs to watch what Davis teammates on Georgia's OLine did to Cowboys draft pick John Ridgeway.
- One of them would start blocking him then another one would get a running start and slam into him from the side.

Davis will only exert effort for a couple of seconds. He was very lazy in college.

That's what I'm hoping too. His stamina not being too good. But we don't know. Money is a great motivator.

I agree Davis will occupy two blockers meanwhile Fletcher Cox will have Dak running for his life.

Then the flag will be thrown and so starts the circle of life for the cowboys offense

You're not oversimplifying it at all. You are spot on
Our center is no longer Travis Frederick and is marginal at best this means when he requires help it creates problems and then unfortunately will create penalties.
Worse yet we drafted the college holding champion so not only did we not solidify the center position in free agency we also drafted a guy known for getting you started behind the chains which was already a problem last year.

I hope he's as lazy as a tabby with a full belly. But there's things you can get away with in college that you're not doing in the pros. They're going to beat the lazy out of him if he ever wants a second contract.

His game is occupying two blockers and making the eagles defensive line better.
He will probably line up over top of our weak center who will require help.

What he can do will be on display twice a year for us probably for the next 10 he doesn't have to be Aaron Donald to get our oline holding penalties that will keep us behind the chains .

Get ready for it because it's coming
