People know Beast as one of the more negative posters on this site, but I have to admit that the team really hit it out of the park with this draft. A couple of comments.

1. LVE is a stud and will be the immediate starter at MLB. I actually consider him an upgrade over Hitchens (who should bring us another nice comp pick next year)!

2. As a UT alumni, I freaking LOVE the pick of Connor Williams. I have seen him play in person at Memorial Stadium in Austin and he is legit. He did have some injuries this past year that kinda hampered him, but he has the chance to be Zach Martin 2.0.

3. I love the Gallop pick as well, he is a great route runner and can pretty much run the entire route tree for you, the QB will not have to tell Gallop where to freaking line up before the snap like some other WR we used to have, trust me.

4. Getting Tavon Austin for a measly 6th is flat out robbery. The dude is a burner, one of the fastest WRs in the entire NFL. Think Lance Dunbar on steroids, that is how we are going to use this guy.

Love the Tavon Austin move. Anyone who has seen my posts knows I have been a big advocate for a playmaker who can take pressure off of Zeke by forcing defenses to make adjustments. Austin is it and the fact that we got him for a 6th round pick is a steal.

Excellent move on our part.........if we can get this guy the ball in open space and let him use his speed and agility, it can really open up this offense.

He has the one thing this offense really, really needed...............SPEED!!!

I want them to have Austin run a go route and throw to him early. This will get the defenses backing off knowing that we are willing to go deep. I wanted them to do this with Butler last year.

I thought it was a great draft! LVE, Conner, and Gallop were outstanding picks, and if Austin works out that'll be another plus.
I just hope they find a better way to use Austin's speed than wasting it on Garrett's stupid jet sweep. LOL

Nice post Beast.

I really love the work we did on Day 1 and 2. We grabbed 3 legit starters at 3 of our biggest needs. Connor Williams is EXACTLY what we needed as a G/T flex player. Outstanding job on grabbing him. Gallup looks like a gem and from his interview, his personality sounds like he's a hard working anti-diva. Again-- exactly what we needed.

LVE has the highest ceiling of all the LBers in this class-- so much athletic potential. BUT-- I need to see it first. At worst we drafted the best coverage LBer in the draft and now have a MLB that can cover the deep middle better than we have had in years.

Not thrilled with our 4th round haul though to be honest...

On top of rounds 1-3, Mike White and Bo Scarborough were my favorite picks of the draft. Really happy with what we did with our picks this year.

Austin's fumbling concerns Me.
If You run a ball-control offense, You must keep hold of the ball.
