uhm the patriots are the supposedly best team in the NFC. Did you just join to troll? 12 posts?

Patriots are not the best team in the NFC. ;)

If we are just playing vanilla and really didn't care, then why not just start Brad?

The answer is because we wanted to actually play some decent ball for the first time in weeks and we didn't do it. And I'm sure guys like Hurd and Miles wanted to try and take advantage of their increased playing time, and they didn't come through.

I don't think our intention was just to go out there and get it over with. There's no doubt Washington wanted it more and the score indicates that, but there's also no doubt in my mind that we wanted to play well and just didn't.

That is the truth..........

Plenty of teams out there who had 'nothing to play for' played a million times harder and better than the supposedly best team in the NFC...

Cowboy pride just got served up a can of wupass

Did you happen to see any of the Jags-Texans game today? I suspect the J'ville message boards are full of the same 'OMG, the sky is falling" nonsense we're seeing here.

Relax, people. In two weeks we'll get our people back, and everything will be fine.

I would totally agree with you if we had played well the last month like the Jags have, and if TO were definitely going to be 100%. This isn't just about today.

:hammer:

exactly, it's been a disturbing trend.

cant believe listening to Akin A. on the post game,he said " ah they needed it more then us,they played hard and with alot of emotion". All I can say is WOW!

Don't take this wrong, the Boys stank today. Couldn't run or pass, couldn't stop the run or pass, couldn't kick a field goal or cover a KO.

They have two weeks tp pull it together. Laron Landry rolled up on T-Glenn's knees, not nice at all.

That's typical of this bunch. We never seem to play with heart and guts - especially late in the year.

Ok, how about this: like the 07 Cowboys, the 2006 Colts were 2-2 to close the season (including a loss to a bad Houston team). Indy still went on to win the Super Bowl.

It'll be ok.

Burnett sounds upset about it and they basically said we played with no emotion, and they played with alot of emotion, no kidding:eek:: glad they are proud of it

Well, hopefully they can just turn the emotion on when they feel like it. But you'd think for a team that has a history of struggling late in the year they'd actually try another approach.

Keep in mind that we played a vanilla scheme. We showed nothing today (figuratively and literally).

Nothing special on offense or defense.

Granted, you still want to see execution....

Washington went all out.....they had to. Still stings......but I wouldn't drink the cyanide yet.

Is that the excuse for the last several weeks or just this game?

Geeeeeez.

Last try: each of the last three NFC champs got spanked in their last regular season game. It's not the end of the world.

Dallas is 0-8 the last 8 years in their season finales. That's not what worries me.

What worries me is that a lackluster performance Sunday looked a lot like the last 4 games...misfires, drops, blown coverages...

the only real part of the game that looks rock solid right now is the DLine. For all the love the offense got earlier in the season, it's like Garrett's yawning on every playcall

Like Wade said earlier this year, using a train analaogy, "I'm just the guy riding up front and clanging the bell".

Unfortunately, trains have a stong propensity to continue in the direction and manner in which they are already traveling. They're not the type of vehicle to be driving when you need to make a quick u-turn.
