Even Aikman said it was a penalty. The call was the call, and there's really nothing anyone can do about it other than moan. ;)

Why engage the same petty argument with each person that comes in defending Harris? We get it tyke, we know how you feel, you've only told us 5 times in this thread alone....

So do you think we would be better of with Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, Nick Foles, or Mark Sanchez? That is what Carroll, Harbaugh, and Kelly have had to work with and all have done better than us. I think we would have been a 3 win or less team with any of them manning our QB position under Garrett.

Better with Wilson.

I don't like karpernick and the. 49ers are not winning with him either. Their record is worse than ours.

Sanchez was able to take the easy check down throws and let his rb do the rest.
Why didn't tony take the easy throws. The cowboys offense run game was putting them in a favorable 3rd and short all 5 drives the first half but romo did not convert a 3rd down pass on 4 of 5 drives. Sanchez did that.

Agreed, 3rd downs are killing us....on both sides of the ball!

3rd down was bad last year. This year it was better for a while but now bad again.

The bothersome part is that run game so good but still struggle on 3rd down

So I feel now that teams know when it's 3rd down they can stop us passing.

So who cares if we run well. Sooner or later we will have to pass on 3rd and drive stalls

We are currently 7th seed on NFL.com

If the playoffs started tommorow we would be sitting home.

After a 6-1 start...........LMAO

I hear ya, we led the league for the first 7 games. I think it's the biggest difference and what's exposing the defense the most. I was so disgusted today I left Thanksgiving with the fam to watch the 2nd half alone at home. No excuse for them not to show up for this game and at least be competitive.

There's no way that could be accurate. I would think we're still 5th or 6th (depending on the tiebreaker with Detroit). San Fran has one more loss than we do and we beat Seattle who has the same record we have. The only way we would be out that I can think of is if there's some kind of crazy three way tiebreaker between us Detroit and Seattle.

Well, I don't see us winning the division now, so I guess we need to pull for Philly to beat Seattle next week. I'm not sure I can do that. There's no team I hate more than them.

It's accurate - we're the loser in most three-way tie scenarios, including the current one with Detroit and Seattle (we lose out because of our 5-4 conference record as opposed to 6-2 for Detroit and Seattle).

That's why I was really hoping we'd take care of business and sweep the Eagles, as tough a challenge as that may have been. Now we need to win out to assure ourselves of a playoff berth. Winning 3 out of 4 will probably get us a playoff berth, but there are realistic scenarios where we lose a Wild Card tiebreaker with two other 11-5 teams (most likely Detroit and Seattle at this point).

The biggest thing that disappoints me about this game is that the Cowboys didn't answer the bell. I never enjoy a loss. I despise losing. Especially to the green birds. But to come out and be uncompetitive like that, really, really, was disappointing. And it made my pecan pie give me heartburn.

i live in the philly area. today was brutal. i got text messages from people i haven't spoken to in years.

to not show up today was pathetic, and par t the course frankly. I'm sick of it. i love this team, and for them to constantly do this really gets on my nerves. god, have some pride and play hard at home. its just unreal.

Yep. You're gonna lose. It's gonna happen. But you want to come away from a loss with some kind of hope.

49ers: Well, Romo was obviously still hurt. And we shot ourselves in the foot too many times. If we limit the turnovers and if Romo gets healthy, we can beat these guys.

Commanders: It was a tough divisional game. We were still in the game until the very end. Romo shouldn't have tried to come back. Weeden was looking like he was gonna win it for us.

Cardinals: We hung in there with the best team in the NFL with our backup QB. Can't really complain there.

Eagles: ...... Uhh, they killed us in every aspect of the game. Everyone was healthy. We were coming off a win streak. The season is almost over. We're now the 7th seed. We play them again in 2 weeks. I don't see how we beat them. That's 5 losses. We have to win the other 3 games and hope we win the tie breaker for the wild card.

Just looked at the tie breaker standings. If San Fran continues to free fall we have no shot at getting the wild card. We're currently tied with Detroit and Seattle but they each have a 6-2 conference record. We have a 5-4 conference record and we play Philly again. I don't see us getting the wild card unless we finish with a better record than one of those teams.

am i reading that if the playoffs started today the cowboys would be out of it?

Yep. We're tied with Seattle and Detroit but they have 6-2 conference records, and we have a 5-4 conference record. The head-to-head win against Seattle would only help us if we were only tied with Seattle. Since you throw another team into the mix, they look at best conference records. We've been pretty bad in conference this year. It's gonna come back to haunt us.
