Tough game to watch. The defense was terrible and the offense was just forcing the run early and was off the rest of the game. I wasn't upset or anything but we're gonna have to win 3/4 to get in.

If it is between us and Seattle, yes we get in over tiebreak. However, that only applies to a head to head matchup and not if 3 teams are involved. As of today, Dallas, Seattle, and Detroit are all 8-4 so the head to head does not apply. When there is a three way tie, the overall conference record is used and both Detroit and Seattle have better conference records than we do so we are the odd man out.

As of today, we are out of the playoffs..............that comes directly from NFL.com....................further more, this would be the first time in franchise history that a Cowboys team that started 6-1 or better failed to make the playoffs........Yet another record of futility made under Garrett.

It's a stupid "record". The games at the end count just as much as the ones as the ones at the beginning. If we played the 49ers, Eagles twice, Seattle and Arizona to start off the season we wouldn't have started 6-1. All that matters is the record at the end.

Stupid or not does not change the facts that every other Cowboys team made the playoffs and right now we don't

I didn't get to see the entire game until this afternoon. Afterward, I wished I didn't watch it.

Jerry Jones crowed that the Cowboys had been preparing for the Eagles since their bye week. Based on what I saw, it looked like they didn't prepare at all.

Busted assignments were the name of the day. It happened on every level of defense, every phase of offense. The Cowboys were not prepared for the pace that the Eagles played at, and looked a step slow all day long. Defenders, likely due to fatigue, blew their gap assignments constantly, and opened up humongous creases for LeSean McCoy to run through. The pass rush was completely ineffective, and made Mark Sanchez look like a surgeon out there. About the only player who had a somewhat decent game in the front seven was Tyrone Crawford. George Selvie, in particular, was horrendous in this game. I literally have no idea why he starts at this point - I cannot recall a single play that he has made this season. Rolando McClain looked slow, out of shape and possibly injured out there. Just a complete disaster out there. The defense is at best marginally better than last year, and when they see the amount of plays they saw yesterday, they look every inch as bad as that unit.

On offense, Romo looked skittish and unsure of himself. His throws lacked zip. The receivers do not get any separation - making Romo hold the ball longer than he should. Most weeks, the offensive line is up to the task. This week, they were not. Leary, Martin and Free were terrible in the game. Martin played by far his worst game of the season - he came off the ball too high, and was consistently outleveraged by Fletcher Cox.

Not much to say about this other than it being a complete butt kicking by the Eagles. Games like this happen to good teams from time to time. The scary thing is, it could have been even worse (the Eagles settled for four field goals in the game). It makes the end of the season absolutely critical for the Cowboys - their strength on the road needs to continue. The Chicago game will not be an easy one - the Cowboys do not match up well with the Bear offense at all. They will need to score a lot of points on offense to win this game.
