Anyway, it’s a dumb take that somebody who literally makes his living off the game, questioning fans that care so much.

What does the franchise tag impact draft wise? It’s a 1-year investment. The draft pick is a 4/5-year investment so that’s the one that prompts the deal.

The team could tag him then agree to an extension before the draft or they could they could tag him and pick his successor and trade or redshirt the rookie.

Once you draft someone though there’s no extending Dak. That’s why that’s the real deadline.
