Him lining up 12 yards off the WR is on the coaches. But the lack of being physical is all on Jenkins.

cosign, you cannot teach physicality to players, it has to be ingrained in who you are and part of your nature.

if seen the kid grab and/or avoid tackles too much for my liking, he needs to pack his bags and leave.

This is as close to my list as I think I'll get. Actually, the only players I'd keep is Dez Bryant. I'd consider offers for any other player on this team including Romo, Ware, anybody.

The 21st century franchise will follow the Pats template: No one is safe. Once again these guys will have several (4 or 5??) picks in the first 3 rounds. They are always parting w/ players that are at, or just a hair past, their prime, and getting good value for them in trades, or by saving salary for non-productive players. Jerry doesn't have the heart or smarts to do this. And I don't know if our talent evaluators know what they are doing either.

I have serious doubts about Romo ever producing anything. His elbow (or is it his shoulder) is already getting tired, he will be 31 or so this year, and if you apply the 3-year rule to him, he has not showed enough to be considered a franchise QB. I'd look to trade him for a good pick, let McGee play for a year or two and either trade him or let him become a bkup. I'm not sure who the best QB is this year, but I'd sure have a look at him if he's anything like Flacco or something similar in physical attributes, is smart, loves the game and is of good character.

I think the winners will be those that approach their teams almost like college: You get 4 or 5 years out of 80% of them and then they should move on. Most of these guys don't do anything after they get a good payday. Was Canty in last night as a backup?? The Giants really screwed themselves w/ him. One of Jerry's good moves.

And for a coach, how about the Giants DC? He appears to have been successful wherever he's been...

I think you can teach physicality to players. Meanness maybe not. Technique is coachable. Attitude is coachable. I've seen Sensabaugh kill guys one day, I saw Roy Williams kill guys for years. Then I've seen Sensabaugh put on one of the greatest Academy award "going through the motions" act whiffing with his elbow out, and I've seen Roy Williams become tentative. How do you explain that?

Confidence, overall team moral, leadership (by example - take Ray Lewis in Baltimore- he makes others more aggressive) all can make guys more physical. Being accountable to coaches and othe players too.

I know this because my son is 10 and playing football for the first time and he isn't naturally mean or physical, although he is a big kid. When pushed he has started to tackle and block more physically and started making plays and the light goes on and the confidence goes up. Even men forget that it is better to be the hitter than the one being hit. We got pushed around last night. Our mental toughness failed. Our confidence got smashed.

Not always the case though.
