St. Louise, IMO, would be certifiable if they took Clausen with the first overall pick in this draft. I just don't see it. I guess we'll see.

I have a feeling Cody will go much higher than 59th.

I really curious how the QBs are going to look at the combine.

They'd be idiots NOT to take Suh.

How many top 5 picks do the Rams and Detroit need, seems like they have taken in the top 5 for years but still continue to suck. You would think they would be contenders at some point with nothing but first rounders playing for them.

Detroit sucks because Millen was the guy making the picks for a long, long time.

Hard to fill some holes when you only draft WRs.

What about the Rams then? It seems like they have taken one of the top 5 picks for almost 10 years now

I feel exactly the same.

There are zero sure bets at QB and if I were a defensive-minded coach I'd either trade down or take Suh.

I think Dan LeFevour is a better pro prospect than Clausen.

Take LeFevour at top of round 2 and he is yours easily.

In Suh they'd have their next LaRoi Glover.

They were in the playoffs only 5 years ago and had a stretch of like 4 years in a row in the playoffs before then. They are in full on rebuilding mode currently but have nothing on the professional suckitude of the Lions.

The Rams have had a top 10 pick only twice in the last 10 years, but you are right...they have not done a ton with the 1st rounders overall.

2000: 31st pick Trung Candidate, RB
2001: 12th pick Damione Lewis DT, 20th pick Adam Archuleta S (passed on R Wayne, Will Allen, S Moss, etc)
2002: 31st pick Robert Thomas LB
2003: Jimmy Kennedy, DT...(yikes, passed on Troy Palamau, W Mcgahee, R White, N Asomugha)
2004: 24th pick steal..Steven Jackson, RB ...there's one!
2005: 19th pick Alex Barron, OT..so-so...but (passed on Aaron Rodgers)
2006: 15th pick Tye Hill, CB....(passed on Atonio Cromartie, S Holmes, N Mangold, etc)
2007: 13th pick Adam Carriker, DT...(passed on D Revis..ouch!, D Bowe, M griffin, L Woodley, etc, etc)
2008: 2nd pick Chris Long, DE..ok I guess. (passed on matt Ryan, R Clady)
2009: 2nd pick Jason Smith, OT

I guess very team passes on some good ones very season...or they trade away their 1st pick like dallas did so often ion the late 90's, early 2000's. Compared to Detroit, SL drafted just fine...LOL. Overall, I'd say they got a C- (or D+) for the decade.

As an aside this draft looks to have written up a huge Cowboys homer:) I would love it!!!

Iupati and Cody both rank much higher than their selections. MUCH.

Iupati is probably only a Guard day 1 but that's still a day 1 starting OL who is raw as rain with awesome potential at a Tackle going forward.

Cody is overly fat yes but that dude moved his 370 pounds off the line in a blur and no one can move him. He just plain stopped any inside running all year. That's just insane god-given fat explosiveness:)

FWIW SN says 4skins looking at Pike and Tebow, Shanny favors mobility. I assume that means in Rd2. That means they likely looking OL in the 1st.
