Thurman's Thieves ?
That picture is actually mis-attributed. It's a video still, and I have the video. That's from a game in 1969. Go to an actual team photo from 1972, which is the last time they played before White got there in 1975, and take a close look at the socks and shoes, compared to the photo that was posted.
But the dead giveaway is in the video, where you can see there is no name on the back of the jersey, (names didn't go on until 1970)
So no, it is not Randy White.
IC knows his stuff!
miss watching James Washington with his shirt out running around hitting people.
Anyone notice Dan Reeves standing on the far left of that pic?
Every time i see this one i cant help but see a FAT burger in his hands.
Injuries. Bad luck.
That isn't Randy, that's your guy Chuck Howley. Look at the black shoes. Randy never wore black shoes in his entire time here. We switched to white shoes in 1974, and Randy arrived in 1975. If you have the Cowboys History DVD that runs through to 2007 you can actually see video footage of that hit on Bradshaw. The Cowboys wore black shoes from 1960 to 1973. The only 54 we have from 61 to 73 was Howley, and that clearly isn't 1960. Bradshaw arrived in 1970, so that means that picture was between 1970 and 1973. Looking at the series History that means it was October 8, 1972 at Texas Stadium. Dallas won the game 17-13.Thank you.
