Postgame show rant

Too short to be a rant, really.

But Norm sounds outraged that:

-- The officials called PI on the Miles Austin play
-- That McCarthy burned a challenge on that early play where Harris took the ball from T.O.
-- And that GB called a time out after the two-minute warning rather than before.

Both guys are acting like we had no business winning that game.

Oh, and on NFLN, Deion said that ridiculous drop/ gift from T.O. to Harris in the endzone was "vindication" for that first call that Harris didn't get.

I didn't realize Deion was old enough for Harris to be his firstborn.

Yeah, they almost seem depressed that we won.

Norm= tool

I am not going to say it was a no-doubt PI call, but something had to be called...whether it was defensive holding, illegal contact or PI, the guy was clearly using his hands and arms on him before they tripped...I dont know why nobody points that out...

Don't you remember the postgame show last week...Norm was all doom n' gloom, and really gave the Packers way too much credit and love,in my opinion.

Yeah I know, it is like we lost.

Now they are making out that if the Packers come back in the NFC Championship, we will be at risk to losing.

Finally someone else sees it my way, at the very least it was illegal contact and we get a first down anyway.

According to Norm's post game shows, we should be 0-12. We have not won a game this year, we have lucked into wins, or the other teams have played badly.

They will talk about the PI call, and ignore the gift that TO gave Harris and praise the Packers.

Salisbury though, said that the Cowboys relaxed when Rodgers came in, and had to crank it up again. He laso said that if Favre hadn't gotten hurt, that it may have been a route by the cowboys.

Norm always goes through what he considers 'game-changing' moments of the game... he just gets worked up easily.

If you want a good laugh, listen to the last ten minutes of the postgame for the most recent Giants game and he goes off.

I am now debating another poster on another board who is saying we weren't impressive because we beat a defensively depleted team with a backup QB by only 10 points.

We are always getting dissed.

Exactly. It's incredible. No one wants mindless homers, but my gosh, this is the "official" postgame show of a team that just won a big game between two 10-1 teams. A franchise that's won five Super Bowls has the best record in its history, and it's like we should be ashamed.

I do think there is something to the idea that we clearly let down when we got to 27-10 and knocked out Favre..but the coaches shouldnt have been so lax with the coverages on defense...we should ahve went after Rodgers

I guess they thought he'd just throw the ball into coverages or couldnt throw with accuracy, because what we did was bad

First thing I have agreed with, why did we go for it 4th and 1 early in the thrid. I would have kicked the FG.

I thought going for it was fine...running with JuJo from a 1WR, tight formation was what I thought was so bad...they had no answer for our passing game, should have just play actioned and rolled Romo with a pass/run option

Tell Norm that as soon as the Fred Swearingen/Benny Barnes PI call gets reversed then he can cry about the call on Miles Austin.

We probably lost a stinkin' SB over Fred's call.

Absolutely agree! Worse offensive play call of the night. Sometimes Garrett needs to be reminded that we don't have #22 at RB anymore.

Yeah I thought that right after the play, why not go play pass deep to Owens.

The first time I saw the play, it seemed like obvious unintentional tripping, incidental contact, but on the replays I thought it was clearly interference before their feet ever got tangled.

The defender touched him on the back with one hand, then pulled at his arm to slow him down with the other arm....then their feet tangled after that.
